So Taako's been in-game for about 8 months now (he's the oldest cast member having come in in May with our last Magnus) but I've been in-game with another character since October of 2016! And I gotta say, I really love it. I can say off the bat we're real backtag friendly- I'm still hitting some threads from a big event in October and everything from December is still regularly being tagged. There are some people in-game that prefer to go faster but I also play three characters in another game so I only hit a thread every 2-3 days lmao. The game also has a LOT of lcw characters and a ton of great OCs, so there's tons of opportunity for crosscanon CR. Both of my characters have some really incredible stuff, and you've got a good foot in the door since the rest of the cast has some friends around the city already (and/or people they've antagonized, though surprisingly, it's mostly the former).
Another engaging thing I really like is that because the events are emotion-based, there's opportunities to get into things your character might not do totally naturally with a nudge in the right direction? There was an event last fall where Love influenced people into these little squad groups with people you didn't know, which was aaaaall about building crosscanon cr, especially with people you might not have gotten to thread with yet. There's also CR memes every two months, plus the game's going towards a little more exploration next month, so there's gonna be lots of stuff to do which opens people up to those they haven't met before.
I also personally think the plot is really strong without being overbearing, so there's always stuff to do but so much space to do other fun junk. AC is only 20 comments with log comments counting double, and in general in a month there's the intro log on the 10th, a mini-event midmonth, and then a larger event at the end of the month. The mods also do monthly rundowns of the events at the beginning of the month so there's a ton of time to plot. You can check out all the monthly rundowns over here if you're curious about past events! And there's also event posts for the individual ones. They can go really serious (there was an evil doubles event about a year ago that got real scary) to absolute goofs (last summer everyone did a Mayfield callback with getting trapped in a Tranquility illusion of small town life). Honestly picking a fav is really hard there's been so many killers LOL
