You're minding your own business, carrying about your life as usual. Then you come across a small creature; it could be humanoid, insecticoid, mammalian, any shape at all. But it can speak - and it asks for your help.
The world is in danger, it claims. A great Shadow threatens to consume it, and it seeks heroes with which to share its power. It will offer promises alongside that - allies, second chances, a life unlike you've never known.
Say yes, and you'll find yourself pulled through space and time - in some cases, your very form twisted in to a new shape - only to arrive in what looks like a high school gymnasium, wearing a uniform that proudly proclaims, 'ENHAI PREPARATORY ACADEMY'. Alongside you is that creature, declaring itself your Radiant Partner.
Oh, and by the way? If you weren't one before, you've now been shifted in to the body of human teenager. Any special abilities you once held are inaccessible, though if you find them missing, your partner assures you that they can unlock them. But all that's just the beginning, because you're far from the first to have been given this power, and you're about to find out that there's far more to this than you were told...
mahouseinenhai - aka Mahou Seinen High - takes place in the city of Enhai, in a parallel world very much like our own. Characters have been pulled in to this world to fight against the all-consuming forces of the Shadow with their Radiant Partners at their side, unlocking and granting them great abilities. They're not alone; there are two experienced Mahou Sensei who were part of this world's original trio, but are for various reasons standing in a mentoring position. They guide new senshi both in their battles and in their more mundane lives as teachers at Enhai Prepatory Academy.
The game is designed to be lighthearted with options for action and drama. Characters are either enrolled in EPA, or just old enough to be graduated; the Sensei, while having their issues with each other, are willing to assist in basic needs while the characters are getting situated. Once they've been here for a while, though, they either expect them to make their own way or be part of their Senshi. The two have different methodology and ideals, though they fight the same foe; while they frown upon the Senshi mixing with one another, they don't necessarily punish members for it. (They may, however, look the other way to harsh pranks or...other interference, so long as you get away with it.)
Players may choose to embrace the slice of life high school aspect, or lean more in towards the battles against the Shadow - or both! For more information, please see the information page.
