April EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened. MOD CONTACT: If there's trouble, tell me HERE, please! RADIANT SWORDS: A Worldbuilding Game
Destruction is the foundation of progress.
Creation is thesis. Destruction is antithesis.
Achieve synthesis.
This is not your body -- though it feels much the same, it exists only by your will. No longer are you the creature you once were, for you have been taken from that life. You are a being of raw primal force now, incarnated to act in the name of Thesis or Antithesis.
This is not your home -- though you have brought it here with you. Aspire, the Void City, takes it shape from your memory and will. You will impress on it your thoughts, and it will respond, so that once again you may walk into the castle of your liege or your office on the 33rd floor... but ever will they remain empty, for Aspire will not protect nor shield you from your task.
This is not your world -- though by your hand is it made. The drained husk of the Once-Was lays before you, awaiting the touch of your elements to shape it into what will be. You will shape it, by power, by choice, by conflict, by harmony.
This is not your universe -- though perhaps it awaits you still somewhere. Yet if light-scoured wastes of Thesis or the dark-shrouded mysteries of Antithesis have answers, they are not yours for the taking. Perhaps, instead, you should look into Dreams.
Radiant Swords is a game of world-building, where characters are strange beings with dominion over an element, charged with creating a world out of a smoking husk. Both characters and players have a chance to change the setting, and their inputs determine how it changes and what happens next. Travel to other planes, find remnants of your old life or any sort of reference you want in Aspire, and make the most of the world you're facing -- literally.

PROGRESS CITY | a disney world-inspired jamjar
It all starts when you find a theme park ticket.
It doesn't matter where you were or what you were doing, but you found a ticket, and you touched it. The next time you open your eyes, you're here, in the heart of Progress City. You've got some sort of strange band attached to your wrist, and you learn where you are, slowly but surely. Welcome to Progress City, the happiest flux dimension in the universe! Tourists from every universe come here to visit, and it looks like something is keeping you from leaving. You’ll be provided with free housing and a job, if you’d like them. Furthermore, it looks like that strange band on your list is allowing you access to strange abilities... To all those who come to this magical place, welcome. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Progress City is a panfandom jamjar set in a flux dimension inspired by Disney Theme Parks (particularly Walt Disney World in Florida) and the original concept for EPCOT (a city that would connect to the theme parks). The game is also inspired by the short run-Disney game, Foolish Mortals, though it's designed to be easily accessible to people who weren't part of that game.
Your character will be able to explore the city and theme parks freely, in addition to using the magicband attached to their wrist to occasionally defend the park from supernatural threats. They will also be assigned a job working at the parks or within the city themselves, though can choose to set off on their own once they land on their feet.

Pierced: Global trotting Adventure game
Power comes at sacrifice...
You wake up in a new world. You may be a shell of your former self. The organization that rescued you, the Foundation, tells you that your powers have been stolen. Your memories may have been taken too; moreover, you have to make a bond with another person to stay stable and sane.
This is because you've become the latest multi-universe victim of the Piercing Pandemic. The objects that changed your life, known simply as weapons, are causing chaos throughout this world and many others. You are now immune to the weapon's effects. The Foundation asks for your help to recover the highly magical objects, in exchange for getting you home.
Knowing nothing about this world, working with the Foundation is the best choice for now.
But from here...
What path will you take?
Pierced is a is a pan-fandom action/adventure game featuring memory/power loss, survival horror, and politics. Characters explore the mystery of their new powers, with their choices rendering short and long term consequences.

THE DAISYCHAIN PARADOX: Panfandom Sci-Fi Dimension Hopping
Fortunately, the CIA has the means and the technology to do just that; all they lack is the manpower, and to that end, they've recruited you. Are you in?
The Daisychain Paradox is a panfandom plot-centric game that's a sequel to Project Daisychain and based on the events of The Cloverfield Paradox, though you don't need to be familiar with either to play. Your character has been recruited by the CIA to fix the damage done to multiple dimensions and essentially save the multiverse; it's up to you how your character does it.
☞ Thistlegreen Manor - A Panfandom Gothic Victorian Amnesia RP
Something's not right...
From: H. Thistlegreen
I am so glad you've decided to come to Thistlegreen Manor to visit! It's been so long since we've seen each other! You were just so tired from your journey that I just had to show you to your room and let you rest up.
Feel free to wander about the Manor as you have free range through it and the gardens! You will have no need for anything here: your wardrobe is full, your desk has your purse, and the kitchens are always very well stocked. Should you need anything from the staff, just write the request in your field notes book and they will happily see to it - whether it's a sandwich in the middle of the night or extra linens. They, and I, want you to be as comfortable as you can.
I do hope you enjoy your stay here. Should you wish to stretch your legs, there is a village nearby but I'm afraid it's mostly surrounded by fog. The weather might be a little dreadful but you'll find ways to entertain yourself while I busy myself with some more important matters, right?
Your dear friend,
H. Thistlegreen
Welcome, invited guests!
Thistlegreen Manor is a panfandom CR based amnesia, horror-esque game set in a Gothic Victorian Mansion at the turn of the century (early 20th century). Characters are "invited guests" of one H. Thistlegreen and have no recollection of their lives or have access to their powers upon arriving.
Items/Powers/Memories can be gained back by interacting with the other "guests" of the manor. However, the longer one stays without trying to interact with others, the more difficult it is to remember your past is. You could even lose them again. Do you assimilate into Thistlegreen's dollhouse or do you fight back to get home?

SAVE OUR EARTH: Reborn into an AU / Mem-loss on modern day Earth
Because their old lives are starting to awaken within them, step by step returning to them what was once theirs: Memories, physical features, personality traits, abilities, items, and more. They return for a reason: Because the Earth beneath their feet is a living, sentient cosmic entity, and she needs their help. That is why she rescued them when their timelines ended and let them be reincarnated on their crust. That is why she is calling them back to whom they once were now.
And as they grapple with the fall-out from all that is changing about them, each and every one of them has to ask themselves the same question:
Save Our Earth is a plot-driven and player-choice dependent game. Its genre falls between mem-loss and AU: All characters start out as complete AU-versions of their characters when they enter the game, yet as time proceeds they receive more and more parts of their OU-versions: Memories, physical features, personality traits, abilities, items and whatever else applies. This happens because characters are reincarnated into our modern world after the timelines of their canons have ended.

Re: NEW GAMES
(Anonymous) - 2018-05-13 18:54 (UTC) - ExpandRökkr: A dark fantasy game opening May 28th.
These lands are old and the weight of their age hangs as heavy as the thick clouds covering the sky above with a constant overcast. Now and then a glimmer of light flickers through the clouds or colors them red, gold, and violet, teasing the prospect of the daylight that never comes. Only a brief dawn followed by a lingering twilight that sinks slowly back into the darkness of night.
Rökkr is a pan-fandom dark fantasy/horror game with optional memory-loss elements. The game takes place in a distant and forgotten realm of darkness known as the twilight where heavy mists, traps, puzzles, riddles, cursed magic, forgotten horrors, ancient deities and shifting surroundings create a seemingly inescapable maze.
The game places heavy emphasis on horror, puzzles, teamwork between characters/players & problem-solving. Rökkr features exploration, puzzle-solving, body horror, encouraged character death, memory and physiology tampering, ancient deities & challenges for characters to overcome.
The plot is player interaction driven and the world and threats within it shift with the characters in game and the choices they make. In addition to monthly plots, there are quests available at all times that have consequences and rewards for participants and change monthly. Rökkr is not recommended for players who dislike horror plots/themes or character death as both are key elements of the game.
You can find out more about Rökkr by checking out the Premise and the Navigation page.
Reserves and applications are Open. The game will open May 28th. The first round of applications will be processed May 27th, further applications will be processed June 3rd and every Sunday following that.

PHANTOM THIEVES INTERNATIONAL ★ A P5 AU GAME
Is there a mission for us?
In this world powerful people seem to get away with anything. They take, they hurt, they exploit, and they don't give a damn about the people who suffer. Wouldn't it be great if someone could change their hearts? Wouldn't it be great if YOU could change their hearts?
In cities across the world, rumors of a new organization flood the streets and the corners of the internet. A group, known as the Phantom Thieves, claim to be working to change the world for the better. They steal the hearts of the wicked, forcing them to confess their sins to the public and accept the punishment of their transgressions.
But who are these "Phantom Thieves"? Are they real? And why do they do what they do?
--
Phantom Thieves International is a Panfandom Alternate Universe game based heavily on the universe of Persona 5. Players will take on the role of Phantom Thieves of Heart and their accomplices, using their personal spirit of rebellion to face otherworldly foes and steal the hearts of the wicked, causing them to confess their crimes before society. Taking place in modern day Los Angeles, the Phantom Thieves will strike back at those who have wronged themselves and society and try to make the world a better place.
Content Warning: Persona games are rated mature due to the subject matter they deal with. This game will follow much of the spirit of the games, and will as such involve storylines that touch on subjects such as racism, prejudice, assault, exploitation, and rape. As will the Persona games, some of the more lurid content will be more implicit than explicit, and the mod team will do our best to portray the topics we do take on with appropriate consideration. While this game is not currently age-restricted, it will deal with more serious subject matter and players are encouraged to address such issues in their character plots and backstories. While everyone should come into the game expecting discussion of potentially triggering content, we ask that any explicit descriptions of such content be labeled with a content warning and placed under a cut. Persona, especially Persona 5, is about confronting ills of society and overcoming them, and it would be a disservice to the source material to shy away from some of the greater ills in the world today.

THE WAKE
You may try to explain this to your friends and loved ones ... but you're unable to get the words out. So you try and break from the routine. If you're a hero, you may try to hurt someone; a villain, you may try to do some good. But you can't. Your life is on rails, and you can't break free. You're a prisoner, trapped in your own body, in a life that no longer seems to have purpose.
Until you hear a voice. Wake, says the voice. And that is all. You reach out with your heart towards that voice; that voice which promises freedom, escape....
And then you Wake.
Welcome to Nautilus, the City of Change. A place where willpower is the key to true strength, and you can change the very fabric of reality. Welcome to a city where even the most average can become extraordinary. Welcome to the real world.
There are many tasks awaiting you in this city: some great, some small. What will you choose to do with the endless possibilities at your feet?
Come, Dreamer. Bring it closer to the Wake.

SIXTH ITERATION
Here's the deal: Yes, you woke up underwater in a fountain (of all things) and that was probably uncomfortable. Maybe you threw up on yourself a little. (Sorry about that.) And yeah, you're in a place you've never seen before and you don't know how you got here — Look, we all know the drill. It's confusing, it's upsetting... What the heck is this smart watch thing? Why are you wearing medical scrubs like an escaped mental patient? Why are you in the Pacific Northwest? Why does that dog have a face like a crocodile?
6I is a loosely plot-guided, open world game with survival elements. Characters are plunked in the middle of an Earth-like terraformed area on a large island in Who-Knows-Where, each of them assigned a color and corresponding power to ostensibly help them get through being stuck there. The Observers who put them there (that would be you, player-person) range from generous to sadistic, sometimes giving gifts, other times giving "gifts," if you know what we mean. (It means terrible things. "Gifts" means terrible, awful things.)
We're not a horror game, although every once in a blue moon we'll use horror elements in plot on a totally opt-in basis. And oh yeah, we have plot! Lots of it, and you can volunteer every month! Wait... you hate plot? We also have not-plot! You do you, player-person. Our world is expansive with loads of features you can choose to use or choose to ignore if that's your thing. We're not into pissing in anybody's cornflakes, and we're designed to make it easy to jump into the game however suits you.
And did we mention our AC is wicked low? And that you can buy back canon powers? And that we have purple alpacas who love strawberries?? It's almost enough to make you forget about that whole throwing up on yourself part.
LIFEAFTR || A PANFANDOM EXPLORATION GAME
They make the heart bigger.
You rouse to a splash of sea salt drying on your skin. A haze of glass-white sand glitters in your vision, dappled by lush palms and thick, curling foliage that disappears into a jungle of deep jade. From behind, crackling wood and sawing rope groan from a mangled life raft ran ashore. A petering wash of tide over pebbled sand fills your ears as you struggle to gain your bearings in a vast portrait of tropical color.
Perhaps you have arrived here without warning, plucked from a world you hadn’t expected to so suddenly depart. Perhaps you had met your final destination long before you stirred upon these crystal shores. Your guide, the Storyteller, does not discriminate. You’re here now, and the taste of the ocean is thick on your tongue, the faint stirring of warm wind soft against your back as it almost seems to encourage you forth into the island’s vibrant understory.
Welcome to the archipelago of LifeAftr. Your story is about to begin anew.
Lifeaftr is a panfandom game set in an archipelago of the same name, with a heavy focus on survival, exploration, and worldbuilding. Both player and IC influence are strong factors in shaping the dynamic setting, as well as the incorporation of RNG elements. Primary genres are survival and adventure, with genre shifts circling a broad range in accordance with plots and events.
LOST CARNIVAL: faeries and fair rides
Do you ever think about running away? The carnival was the perfect place to do it – run by an eccentric and otherworldly fae called the Ringmaster, it travelled across the multiverse with little more in mind than simply entertaining the beings of different worlds and exploring what each universe had to offer. Some signed on by choice, while others became accidentally drafted into service after gaining a debt to the Ringmaster. Some of both wound up staying for multiple years, settling into the carnival as a home away from home.
As imperfect and strange as its travels can be, its paid employees receive powerful faerie boons – favours from the Ringmaster that can be used to change your world or yourself as you see fit. While working there, it’s possible to learn magic, learn new skills, and discover parts of yourself you never knew existed. It’s also possible that you might grow some fantastical new physical features from the presence of the Ringmaster’s faerie magic, though the reviews of that particular service are mixed.
In the carnival you could become a new you, live a new life, and return home without ever having missed a thing. It used to be so easy.
But now the same faerie powers that enable the carnival’s journeys have returned to seek vengeance for actions of the ancient past. With long forgotten ties to both the Summer and Winter Courts of Arcadia, the Ringmaster has taken the carnival on the run, fighting to elude the enemies and allies she abandoned for a life among mortals eons ago – and all the while, those that follow her have been dragged into a battle between multiversal powers they never knew existed.
The Faerie Courts' hold on the multiverse is growing. How far will you run?
The game has entered its second year and its second IC season - stakes are higher than ever as characters are forced to fight for their freedom and potentially for the fate of the entire multiverse. There is a more serious and dramatic metaplot arc concerning the Faerie Courts mixed in with more lighthearted visits to various worlds and tour locations. The path the carnival takes is very much in your hands.

AINMHIAN
AINMHIAN
You awake in an unfamiliar bed, surrounded by stone walls, a warm, finely made duvet tugged up to your chin and tucked around your sleeping body. There's a faint scent in the air, of lush greenery, fallen leaves, moss and sweet nectar, and the sound of a quiet, steady chime. A candle burns on a nearby table, next to a small leather volume--the source, you quickly discover, of the sound.
You stir, and realize you're dressed only in a shirt and trousers, thin and simply made. Your belongings, it would seem, are gone. Your mind feels clouded, your memory vague and misty around the edges. How did you get here? You simply can't remember.
Should you investigate the chiming, you find a flat, clear crystal inlaid into the cover of the book. At first it reflects only your face. Then it shifts and glows, and another face takes the place of your own. Beautiful and ethereal, or dark and shadowed, or far, far from human in appearance. Perhaps it smiles at you--warm and inviting, or sly and elusive. Perhaps not. Regardless, you're going to want to listen to what it has to say.
Outside, you find a city built around and through a wild forest, leaving the trees, the vines, the carpet of moss intact. Roughly hewn stones wind a path around the trees, from structure to structure, stairs carved into the sides of massive tree trunks lead the way to bridges and treehouses above. The sky is a strange color--either a vibrant orange or pink, sometimes dark and grey, but rarely if ever the expected blue. Small glowing orbs of blue and gold wander through the air--perhaps they'll lead you to where you wish to go, or perhaps they'll lead you astray.
What you do now, is for you to decide.
Welcome to Ainmhian.
Ainmhian is a panfandom sex game set in realm of the Fae. A member of the Great Court has handpicked your character to...amuse them. You are a player in a grand piece of carnal theater, an amusing pet to be manipulated for the entertainment of the Courts, a game piece to be moved across an ever-shifting board as the Courts challenge one another and place their bets. Rewards for your active and eager participation are dolled out either by the Courts as a whole, or by an individual patron, depending on who said gift benefits. Will you give in to earn favor, or resist and rebel? The choice is yours, but make no mistake, little mortal--your gracious hosts will not make resistance an easy task.

Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back-to-back they faced one another,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
One was blind and the other couldn’t see,
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout “hooray!”
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came and killed those two dead boys.
The world as you know it is ending. You don’t know why. You don’t know how. It starts with a quake, or a storm, or a fire. It starts with invasion. It starts in different ways on different worlds, but one terrible reality binds them all; this is your D.E.S.T.I.N.Y.
But all is not lost. The F.A.T.E.S can step in.
You awaken on a beach. It’s warm, breezy, but more chaotic than you might have thought. All around you are others who’ve arrived, just as confused as you, having escaped disaster of their own. The thing that approaches you might look like an animal, or an object, or a long lost friend. This is your personal Daemon. It welcomes you to XISTENTIA.
It welcomes you to the war. The future of every universe now rests on your shoulders. You’ve been uploaded to our server, and saved from your own Apocalypse. Now help us save the rest.
Xistentia is a panfandom game with a sci-fi/fantasy setting. Characters arrive as refugees drafted into a war not of their making, but which is currently destroying their homeworld. Plots alternate between intense and casual gameplay. The war metaplot focuses on ACTION, with elements of mystery, world-hopping, and horror. Between these crises, we have lower-key events to encourage EMOTIONAL CONNECTIONS which power the city’s defenses, ranging from sexual intimacy to community-building.
