FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

[game info]: DF is a game set in space, based around a reality show. That aspect can be played up or down, depending on preference. The fleet visits different systems and sometimes deals with shit that goes down. Characters get augments to assign them to a role on a ship, and they can have upgrades through those. The game is invite only, but players are pretty open about inviting people if someone wants in. c:

Kaname and Freyja do keep their fancy singing powers and can even work with certain aspects of the setting! There's a test drive meme up, and we'd love to thread with players even if it's just to voice test. Please hit us up! We can also help with icons, resources like songs, journal idea, paid time... [game info]: Awash is a jamjar game where the characters wake up in a town devoid of color (characters and belongings retain their colors though). Each character is assigned a hexadecimal color code, and they're here to help bring color into the world! From the premise page: Awash is a character driven panfandom game that welcomes canon and original characters. There will be monthly events that are a mix of creepy and fantastical, drawing on folklore and fairy tale alike, as characters attempt to resolve the dilemma of this colorless, nameless town and find a way back home.

Awash is pretty new as it opened last month, but I've been having a lot of fun so far and I'd love to get some castmates! Aside from monthly events, there are quests to do which give you IC rewards upon completion; for example, this month Ryo teamed up with two other people to kill some harpies and got a pile of knives he now keeps under his coat. Exploration is encouraged and the mods have been delightfully creative with what's out in the woods surrounding the town. AC is 25 comments/month (across a minimum of 3 threads and a maximum of five) or 1 post + 10 comments. For more info, the navigation page can be found here.

The game has a player cap of 80 and at the time of writing there are about ~33 slots for new players for the second round when reserves open on May 1st, 9 PM EST. Reserves filled up in about a minute last time so you'll probably have to camp at the reserve page and be ready to put yours in the second they open so that's something to keep in mind; if you won't be around to put yours in, I'm willing to proxy reserve for you - just let me know! That said, reserves expire before the application period ends, and when they do apps are open even to those who didn't get a reserve in.

There's a mix of slice-of-life and plot, with room for a variety of tones; what you take on is up to you! There are opportunities to explore the world and uncover its mysteries, as well as a task board with a variety of different quests/odd jobs that characters can take on, plus events that can play with the characters’ emotions.

Steven has been in the game for over a year, having made many friends in the setting, while in recent months he’s regained Lion and was voted flower king at this month’s flower festival. Now Pearl has arrived and has started adjusting to life on the island! Their respective canon points are Kevin Party and Mr. Greg.

AC is also very simple, with ten comments (or an open post + seven comments) that can be spread across multiple links. If there are any questions about the game, feel free to ask!

Here is our game ad so I don't sound very repetitive! Basically, DF is a game about visiting different planets and going in adventures, plus good old classic wacky shenanigans. The game is small and very relaxed, slow paced with super easy AC. Full navigation on the profile! DF requires an invitation to app but we can get you one! Apps are always open.

Note on S5: two months must pass to app from (or update to) that canon point, in case any Lotors want to have that in mind when it comes to his relationship with the paladins. We'll update to a more cr-friendly canon point in the future! Everyone is still welcome of course, just throwing a heads up out there.

[game info]: Mask or Menace is a pretty straightforward premise: characters are given superpowers, dumped in a jamjar. The game itself is a mix of slice-of-life and Cold War-esque metaplot, with room for characters to choose just how involved they'll get in any one aspect. I find it fun for TWD characters because it serves as a sort of respite from the misery and deprivation of their canon; when you aren't half-starving, there's a little more time to process what happened to you when you were.

Empatheias is a game where emotions influence the environment and shape the world around you. There's some SOL, with an overarching plot and space to run your own player plots. For the most part, the core of this game is the playerbase decides where they want the world to go. There's lots of world building, with characters exploring and discovering more of the world outside of the starting city. Pacing-wise, from my experience it sits around mid-pace, with it picking up during events. You have two options to complete AC, 1 Entry and 7 comments from elsewhere, or 10 comments added up from two threads minimum. You only need to meet half AC the first month you app in!

Currently Reserves are open and applications will open between May 1st-4th and this is our current Test Drive!

[game info]: Hadriel is a horrorish jamjar set in a city where a pantheon of gods cause events to elicit emotions from the PCs for their continued existence. The gods are on the run from a mechanical species called the Null, who want to wipe out the gods’ species and will not hesitate to kill anyone on the gods’ side. PCs are pretty divided on which side they’re on.

PCs have lots of opportunity to affect the setting and the plot (ex: several PCs recently rescued a new NPC who would’ve otherwise been killed by the gods) and can make deals with NPCs for almost anything they want. The game has taken a bit of an exploration bent, if that’s up your alley. If not, there’s always something to do in the city!

There is no forced humanization and no power nerfing. Reserves are open, they close and apps open on the 1st, and we have an active TDM at

dankmemes!

If I had to pick a handful of faves tho I'd say Rena, Elsword, Ara, Ciel, Eve or Elesis! seriously though anyone would be amazing, hell give me El Masters or background NPCs I'll take anyone I love them all

[game info]: TFS is based on the manga/anime Noragami, so familiarity with the series is a plus but not necessary! The gist of it is that characters are apped in as either Gods or Shinki. God characters take on the role of a god from any religion/mythology (including fictional gods!) and are given their own temple, a cool superpower of your choosing, and are assigned a shinki character to serve and protect them. Shinki characters lose all their memories on arrival (though they can regain portions of their memories by spending activity points OOCly) and are assigned to a god character, and with the help of said god character they can be transformed into a "vessel" (anything from weapons to animals to random everyday objects) that has a cool superpower of your choosing. Much more detailed info on the roles of gods/shinki can be found in the game's FAQ, but that's the short version!

The game has a very laid-back pace and a 2:1 day ratio, which is great if you ever need to take a hiatus or like to do a lot of backtagging! The genre is also a bit "choose your own adventure" in that there's a lot of options for slice of life, action, horror, missions and quests to complete, a touch of politics, etc., but you can easily choose which things you're most interested in and focus on those over others. I'm super into horror and investigations into the plot/setting, for example, so I tend to play up a lot of the more horrific aspects of the god/shinki roles when I can and focus more on investigating plot stuff ICly over other types of events.

TL;DR:
- 2:1 day ratio
- Medium/slow-paced (depends on who you tag, it's a big game)
- Elements of SoL, horror, action/missions, and an overarching game plot
- No powerloss/humanization
- OPTIONAL memloss w\ regains
- Setting-given powers for all characters

Add is currently acting as the god Henir with Ain as his shinki! I'd love to have more castmates as either gods or shinki (though Henir's temple is getting a bit crowded so I may have to decline any more shinki-partners for him h-hahaha), and if you need any help figuring out the game's mechanics/setting I'm familiar with Noragami as well and would be happy to help!

And even if you're not into the game itself tbh I know I'd kill for more Elsword RPers to meme or PSL with or w/e too so... hit me up k.....

[game info]: Recollé is a memloss/AU game in which characters are reincarnated as ordinary people living in a city called Recollé. However, a mysterious app called Retrospec connects the game's characters, who regain various memories/abilities/physical attributes from their canon lives over time while various bizarre and dangerous events occur in the city.

In this AU, the dangans are all college students. Makoto Naegi is an artist and trying to become a teacher; Ishimaru (AU Name: Kiyotaka Ishida) and Twogami (AU Name: Byakuya Kirigiri) are dormmates and overachieving students, with Twogami also managing a McDonalds; Peko (AU Name: Kaguya Pekoyama) is an aspiring baker; and Kaede is a freshman trying to find her calling. Through their regains, they have slowly been learning about Hope’s Peak and the killing games that they were forced into, though they’re not yet aware of the bigger picture behind it all or any of the plot twists. They’ve also been regaining their talents or memories of them, with Twogami facing an arc of being confused by his own memories of his apparent talents.

The game's AC consists of 20 comments which can be presented in somewhere from 2-4 threads. Extra activity can be cashed in for bonus points that can be used to regain a characters' items, abilities and physical attributes from canon. Apps are bimonthly, and the next cycle will be at the end of May: an AU workshop will go up on May 11th (on which a character's AU can be plotted out!), then a test drive and reserves will go up a week later on the 18th (reserves are needed to app!), and finally apps will be open from the 25th through the 31st! If there are any questions, or if anyone needs help thinking up a character's AU, feel free to hit me up!

[game info]: MoM is that retrofuturistic Cold War game where everybody gets superpowers, and by virtue of existing in the setting the player characters enjoy some degree of celebrity/fame/notoriety with the locals. It’s a large game, but it’s easy to do your own thing, whether that’s slice of life, following metaplot leads or pursuing player plots. Apps open on the 1st, and the test drive meme is up here.
