FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. [game info]: A panfandom game focused on body horror and long term character development on how they deal with those changes. Upon arrival, every new character will be stripped of their previous powers and begin to change into one of the listed monsters. The game is heavily focused on what happens after the change, such as what god you align with, how you go about treating the remaining npc humans, or what you allow yourself to become. Currently, our TAZ cast's permanent monsters are Lup as a Naga, Taako as a Vampire, and Barry as a Kelpie.
The test drive/application process don't open until mid-month July (test drive on the 13th, apps on the 21st), but here's a link to the navigation for folks who want to check it out! AC is pretty standard, twenty comments across the board, which can be used from up to five different threads. We also have a super sweet bonus AC system that awards coins that can be used to buy monster upgrades, spells, or even bring in stuff from a character's homeworld. Empatheias is set on a floating island above a ruined wasteland of a world, where their emotions can have effects on the environment around them, both good and bad! As far as the setting goes, it's a mix of both plot and slice of life, with plenty of opportunities for both. Events are monthly, and can range from large-scale excursions where plot unfolds, to festivals where the characters get to unwind and reflect, and anything in between. In between, there's plenty of room for characters to tackle task-like jobs to earn rewards and money and even for player plots to go down, both personal and game-wide. All in all, it's a game where you have a lot of freedom to do what you want within the setting to use it to develop your character in the way you want.
It's a medium-large game, but moves at a medium-slow pace. AC is monthly, consisting of either an entry and at least one (separate) thread with seven comments from you, or two threads with a total of ten comments. The Far Shore is a pretty sizable game with a relaxed atmosphere and the ability to go searching for plot or go for more SOL. The AC is pretty easy imo, and a variety of different characters are more than welcome!
Characters enter in either one of two positions: a god or a dead soul (shinki), both who are required to work with one another in order to slay horrible monsters. Gods arrive as they are, just now with a new power, the ability to teleport, and a temple in the Heavens to call their own! Shinki arrive with complete amnesia and, if they're ever told about their living life, they turn into a horrific monster that must be murdered!
...But still with the powers they had before, and the ability to be 'named' be a god and thus turn into an item/weapon/animal to help with the destruction of horrible monsters.
Some characters may have opinions on this.
There's also a more indepth plot on a possible unknown god that wants to overthrow the Heavens (who are arguably helping the PCs), so that's something to explore!
As for the cast front, whether they're aligned with the K-gang or not, I'd really love any other characters to bounce our shit-teens off of! Chikusa in particular has been going through some character development and, while it's hidden because of course it is with Chikusa, he's definitely a different person on some levels!
...I mean, he's still a criminal teen prison escapee with no morals, but, I mean. He's writing a romance novel and made a fursona, so that's something.

[game info]: An old-school jamjar set in a world based on Alice in Wonderland, where characters are spirited away to Wonderland and must endure the Mansion slowly siphoning their memories and having them projected for others- we ran a Reaper invasion event last month and there was a trip to the Citadel last year! There's also a great modplot going between the Queens, some mysteries to uncover, and lots of stuff to play with... not to mention the Mirrors hiding behind the glass. Shepard's been there two years so she's very old hat, but would looove to see some old faces for her crew. AC is bimonthly and consists of an open post + 24 comments across at least 4 threads. Player Plots/Overarching Meta plot with slice of life
The Wake is where characters 'wake up' in a nexus sorry Doctors no time sight here and need to learn how to survive/coop with this new way of life. The main point of this game is character growth. Characters are encouraged to learn and grow beyond canon in however which why they might based on the in-game influencing factors.
Powers are able to regain abilities but not game breaking powers; example time sight. However, characters are also allowed to learn abilities they never had in canon. For instance; shapeshifting. When characters Ascend; aka the character growth, those characters are able to learn higher abilities, like being able to Fly or Teleport. As well as being able to travel to other worlds and fixing flaws (A Player Plot)
The story of the game itself is that there was a war with god like beings, one of those god-like beings in secret became the game setting (Nautilus) and therefore Nautilus is an actual living being that is conscious but don't worry most of the time Nautilus are like the majority of the Time Lords and doesn't interfere.
Activity check is relatively relaxed, and put simply it is two pieces of the following;
12 network comments (can use multiple threads to make one activity piece)
1 network post (provided you've made an effort to reply)

The Zenith Corporation is going to numerous realities in search of willing volunteers to help them in sexy research as they work toward a cure. Full info here, but in short the game takes place on a former resort planet turned research facility. This is a sexy sci-fi adventure with some horror elements. Neat non-human NPCs include a sassy AI, a tentacle monster scientist and a tsundere deerman. DMMd is one of the largest casts at the moment in this recently opened game, and though we all love cross-canon CR we'd love to have more castmates as well.

[game info]: Awash is a jamjar game where the characters wake up in a town devoid of color (characters and belongings retain their colors though). Each character is assigned a hexadecimal color code, and they're here to help bring color into the world! From the premise page: Awash is a character driven panfandom game that welcomes canon and original characters. There will be monthly events that are a mix of creepy and fantastical, drawing on folklore and fairy tale alike, as characters attempt to resolve the dilemma of this colorless, nameless town and find a way back home.
Aside from monthly events, there are quests to do which give you IC rewards upon completion; for example, one time Ryo teamed up with two other people to kill some harpies and got a pile of knives he kept under his coat until he got his hands on a rifle. Exploration is encouraged and the mods have been delightfully creative with what's out in the woods surrounding the town. AC is 25 comments/month (across a minimum of 3 threads and a maximum of five) or 1 post + 10 comments. For more info, the navigation page can be found here.
The game has a player cap of 80 and at the time of writing there are about ~16 slots for new players when applications open on July 1st, 9 PM EST. Normally you'd need a reserve to app but this time it will be first come, first served for new applicants and no reserves. [game info]: To copy/paste from the game's FAQ:
"Welcome to Awash, a character-driven game focused on the mystery of a colorless town, the restoration of said color, and the consequences that come of each and every character choice. With eerie, folkloric overtones and a mix of exploratory and quest events, the game's plot will depend entirely on the choices, relationships and solutions characters make."
So yeah, that! It's a game very focused on CR development given how it drives the town to restoration. That includes slice of life elements, but there's plenty of opportunity for plot things to go down. To give you a sense: early in June there was a player-run positivity ball in order to help fulfill a quest requirement. Later in the month, there was a mod driven event where werewolves invaded the town and characters could end up being bitten and turned into werewolves as well!
As the player above my comment noted though, the AC here is a bit more than what's typical of dreamwidth games at the moment. You need 25 comments between 3 min, 5 max threads or you need a post (network or log) and 1-2 threads that total to 10 comments. One inbox thread is allowed per month, but you cannot thread with the same characters every month (this doesn't apply to toplevels or posts)
The game has a very "small town" feel to it. There's a greater emphasis on logs than networks if you're into that, you can do quests to get cool nifty rewards, fight monsters, and so on. Not so different from an actual Legend of Zelda game basically.
Also I'll be upfront that apps are opening July 1st at 9pm EST and slots are limited. It's expected anywhere from 15-20 spaces will be available for new players. It's hard to say how many will try to app given there will be no reserves. So this is something of a short turn around, but if you think you can write an app in 11 hours then HEY go for it. I'm more than happy to help if samples are needed, so shoot me a PM if you want to give it a try.

[game info]: Deerington is a fictional American town that is nestled in Maine. The town is coincidentally a nexus in which all characters seem to be connected through a collective dreamscape. The game pulls elements from classic and contemporary horror and psychological thrillers, as well as providing new, intriguing mysteries and monsters. Deerington is an opportunity to explore characters psychologically and what it means for them to be sentient beings in a setting that challenges their self-perspective as well as their perspective of reality. This is a game where characters themselves might just become their own worst enemies.
The game is pretty medium-paced with an emphasis on character interactions and the consequences of their actions. It's a great game for anyone who is a fan of horror and would enjoy fourth-wall elements that involve characters examining themselves rather than super cracky events. CRAU is allowed, a brand new Japanese horror-themed TDM will be going up over here on July 1, and I'm happy to answer any questions!

[game info]: So essentially you wake up and find yourself in ancient Rome, the memory of an agreement on your tongue. And that agreement is to fight in a war of the gods. To that end you’re assigned a patron god or goddess. Your powers have been removed, and powers (well, A power, to start, with the addition of more to come) has been given in return, that varies depending on who your patron is.
There are arena battles, and training, and a spooky bridge you can hear voices on, player plots, and mod plots, and roommate interactions. You can fight and drink and yell at god statues. Improve the situation for yourself and your fellow god-chosen types. Read books in the library. Leave graffiti on the walls. READ the graffiti already on the walls. Our next TDM goes live on July 15th!

[game info]: Ryslig is a game about your characters turning into one of several very customizable monsters who are forced to eat humans. Lots of intrapersonal emotional struggles will happen, as well as body horror. But then there's beach episodes (perfect for swim boys) and the silly side of turning into a monster, so there's a balance against the horror/angst part.
So far, Haru and Rin have been heavily involved in a player-driven major plot, researching the identities and weaknesses of the deities that have forcibly summoned them to this land in hopes of finding a way to return home. Their actions bring about consequences. Rei and Nagisa are relatively new to the setting and are still the precious kouhai. We'll definitely get you up to speed, so join us in Monster Land!

[game info]: you'll wake up one day to find yourself in ancient rome. your powers have been taken, you've made some strange agreement to fight in a war, and you're soon to find that the gods here are very real. you'll be assigned your very own patron god and given shiny new powers (well, a power to start off with; from there you'll build your power set according to your choice). and you'll begin training for the war to come.
beyond that? you can fight in arena battles. spar. train your face off. learn how to play nice with your roommate. strengthen your situation by helping to improve medical care and generate water that isn't full of lead. join the watch and patrol for signs of the unknown enemy. lend your voice to the senate-of-sorts. listen to eerie voices on the pons aelius. scour the library. slay some killer pseudo-owls. run the rooftops like the cool kids. hang out at the public baths. drink wine and shout at the gods' statues. come and kick daud's ass, if you like.
