FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. [wanted]: Anyone else! Obviously I'd most love some more Atlantis crew, but anyone who knows what a Stargate is would be WONDERFUL.

Do you like space? Do you like fantasy? IF YOU LIKE EITHER, THIS GAME IS FOR YOU. In El Nysa you are saved from a mysterious multi-verse destroying storm by STRANGE, ALL KNOWING HIGHER BEINGS (does this stuff sound familiar, Stargate characters) who are vague as shit, and just want your assistance in return by helping out their favourite little world thrive and SWEARING NOT TO MENTION that the higher beings upstairs know how to space-travel. We have had kidnappings, diplomatic councils, epic dragon fights, a village where fairies get everyone high and also, beach days! John is alone and unsupervised and already died trying to solo beat up a dragon because nobody was around to physically restrain him and come up with a better idea. HE'S BETTER NOW THOUGH?
The game has a ton of characters but I'd say is about medium pace, since it's more log heavy than network. We have event logs once a month, and an activity points reward system after you meet minimum AC! Minimum AC is two threads, any combo of a log thread with at least 5 comments or a network thread with at least 10!
I WILL TAKE QUESTIONS NOW. But please, come play with us! There are many mysteries to be solved and wonders to see!

What do you want to know! Like I can tell you all day that I'm having fun in this game and I've got to do lots of cool space fantasy stuff but, I don't know what kind of stuff you personally like! Do you have speed preferences, preferred event styles, preferred AC etc? Then I can tell you if you will LOVE or HATE this game!
For me, I feel like the mix of space adventure and fantasy works pretty well for Stargate characters! I also prefer logs to too much network spam, esp for John who is not a super network spammy type anyway and loves to run around, so the fact that most of the games action is on event logs works really well for me! If you prefer really fast games this def isn't for you, because since it's mostly logs that lowers the pace a little! But if you like mystery and technology alongside swords and dragons we have all of that!
The latest event is in a place called NADRIL where we have to find out why the 'original' refugees recruited by the Natha (who are kinda like the Ancients) assisted in some sabotage, and also low key why they won't work with the Natha any more! John is trying to get logs out of a crashed bit of Natha spaceship at the moment while also tolerating snowy conditions!
Additionally, in our last app round we got a TJ from Stargate: Universe!

OH, also! El Nysa plays mostly as a sort of adventure game but it usually tends to have at least like, one sex positive prompt every other month or so at least if you're into that kind of thing? It's not invasive like a full on sex game, it's just like 'also, this beach has a lagoon where the water makes you feel nice and like touching everyone' or, 'also, this village has a bar where people get high and kiss each other if you want to go there'.
Since I know the game bio doesn't... describe? How that aspect of it works very well, that is basically what the 'smut-opt-ins' thing is!

As a benchmark, though:
I joined with a friend, at the time there were only two other people I knew in the game. They both ended up leaving since they didn't have time for it early on. The friend I joined with (and one other friend of mine who just joined) is the only person in game I have added on plurk right now, because I don't like mass-adding people for the sake of a game, but people still tag me! I tend to go out of my way to find people on plotting things and plan something, and reach out to people using all the game OOC stuff, but I've never really felt that I've been cut off from anything by not having everyone on plurk! Hunting people down on plotting things is something I'd definitely encourage but I also think... that's a DWRP as a whole thing. If you hunt down people and go HEY, I want to thread with you, here is a top level I already posted!! Then you've already done all the leg work for them so they're more likely to do it. All the worst sins this game (in my experience) has really involve things just sometimes ending up slow enough that they stall out sometimes.

Seeking out plot is kind of part and parcel with DWRP, I think. That's a good benchmark to start from.

EDIT: CORRECTION, the next test drive will be NEXT month I forgot applications are every other month. (We've had them closed entirely for a few for a plot).

And I play him from Season 5! I picked him up from the end of The Shrine, a little bit arbitrarily. I think I was trying to make it before all the Michael stuff. There was probably a deep reason but I forget now, months-ago-me presumably knew what they were doing I trust my past self that it was a good choice.

El Nysa does not allow OCs, so they'd have to be a canon one yes!
How well they'd work would probably depend which one you pick, since some play well with others and some are further off the deep end! You'd probably want to pick one that at least pretends to play along with others, as nothing in the game will really force them.
There is also the caveat that you only get one free resurrection in game, so, you can't depend on them constantly bouncing back if they upset everyone with an evil plan!
