ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. An overview of Beth. I play her at age 18, generally post-death (AUs where she doesn't die, comes back to life, is some kind of ghost/spirit, jamjarred, gets shunted into a different canon, &cet.), though I'm fine with doing post-prison-pre-hospital stuff as well. In AUs, I try to write her with comparable baggage as she has in canon, since it informs her development so heavily.

Long-term PSLs and meme fun. At this time, I'm looking primarily for shippy stuff, canon or cross-canon, especially if we can work in some plot or adventure to keep things moving forward! Ship-wise, Beth fits best with people who're good at heart, however many layers that goodness might be hidden below. If your character is a slow-burn kind of person who needs to be drawn out of their shell a little, Beth can be a good candidate for that.

Writing m/f with her takes less time to make happen, but f/f is possible with CR buildup. Prefer shipping her with characters age 17 and up.

Here's a list of things I like a lot. Settings that can be fun to play with include Alexandria, Hilltop, the funeral home, mashups with other post-apocalyptic canons like Fallout, mashups with other lowtech canons in general, DC comics, Marvel comics (fair warning: I'm only really there for the X-Men), and the occasional straight-up AU where they're pirates or something, IDK. I'm fine with mundane jamjar settings, since the relative quiet gives the characters a chance to process everything that happened in canon, but I'm not interested in complete mundane AUs.

X-Men Original Trilogy

[rp you're offering for / rp type you'd wanna play in]: Long-term PSL/1-on-1, though I'm always up for throwing in other characters as NPCs. And, for Marvel, I've got a good number of them.

I've managed to fill a lot of lines I'm interested in, so this is probably oddly specific, but one I'm still looking to fill would be something either post-X3 or post-X2 (but still a bit into the future just eliminating the events of X3 -- let's be honest, no one liked that movie).

I'd be looking for a Pyro from this time period (probably putting them somewhere between the ages or 21-26). Preferably one that's been hardened by time with the Brotherhood, hates the hell out of humans, and who isn't afraid to commit to a ton of snark and antagonization between the two (along with the awful awkwardness that goes with them being on two completely opposite sides). I'd love for this to go into love/hate shipping territory, but, first, I like the idea of a slow burn and, second, if the chemistry is off for shipping I'm good with it being hate/hate. Obviously, this sort of thing and what their relationship actually was (because X2 is vague on it) pre-X2 is up for discussion and brainstorming.

Generally: lots of clandestine meetings (being able to utilize the idea of emails and texts in RP is also a bonus) between the two, with a wide range of types of scenes. I'd love scenes with them arguing about morals and ideals as much as I would love more action-packed scenes. So, really, everything from fluff to angst to drama to slice-of-life to action to... well, you get it.

The potential for Rogue to switch sides and actually go to the Brotherhood is on the table, but that would be the result of character development and something that could played around with.

The current state of the world around them is completely open for brainstorming as well (DOFP-ish, various states of the Brotherhood’s influence on the world, various states of the X-Men’s influence on the world, how anti-mutant things are, etc.)

I have ideas for pretty much all of this that I'm happy to share, I'm just trying to avoid the dreaded wall of text (I've already failed at that). I'd love to hear from both seasoned-players of this character and people going "huh, I've never written this character but this sounds like something I might want to try". If you're in the latter category and you want a sounding board as you establish the character's voice, I'm more than happy to chat or do test scenes all you want.

[preferences]: 21+ writers only. I prefer third-person writing. I can go with either present or past tense, depending on your preferences. My preference is for no brackets. If that's totally your thing, I'm not saying I won't write with you, I'm just putting my preference out there.

I know boomerang tagging can be tough these days, though if you are that kind of tagger, awesome (that would be my preference), I can match that during the week (the weekends I'm a bit more sporadic). But if you're a once a day or a few times a week type of tagger, that's fine too. I do, however, want to write with someone who will tag at least a few times a week so we can keep the line moving forward. Obviously life happens, so if tagging slows for something in rl that’s no problem.

Tag length is really dependent on what needs to be gotten across in the tag. I generally like there to be a good mix of prose, actions, and thoughts so we both have something substantial to reply to. Plus, if I'm looking to write with a specific character, it's because I enjoy the character and want to know what's going on in their head. Basically, if you need five long paragraphs to get across what you need to in a tag, that's fine. If you need one paragraph that's fine. As long as it's not a series of one-liners.

I enjoy threads based on interpersonal drama, especially ones that elaborate on canon dynamics or events. Texting threads are also fun! I tend to prefer fade-to-black over writing out smut, but I still ask that you only contact me if you're 18 or older.

FOR HORATIO: Life onboard the Indy! Maybe stuff taking place during the quarantine in S01E02, the realities of combat on the mainland in #4, shore leave, or the drama of a major storm. I only really ship him with Archie, although I'd be open to mutual one-step-above-a-crush interactions with Maj. Edrington once Horatio starts to think more highly of him (and, on the topic of Major Edrington, would really dig something revolving around gradually establishing a working partnership). I'd also love to play something centered in his father-son dynamic with Pellew - maybe Horatio comes to him for advice, or, alternatively, Pellew tries to be of some comfort when Horatio's mourning Archie.

FOR BECKETT: General interactions in the spirit of the series - maybe negotiations between him and pirates or more subtle power struggles with his allies in the royal navy. A pirate AU could also be fun! Although I'd love to catch any castmates (or folks willing to interact crosscanon!) around these parts, I'd especially love to write stuff with an Elizabeth or a Jack. His exchanges with Elizabeth are really interesting to me in that although he's pretty much contemptuous of everyone (including her) he does seem to recognize that she can be a formidable opponent, and I think he finds it entertaining to very subtly antagonize her. Maybe they meet together in a situation that isn't at gunpoint, have a conversation while she's still in her cell, or have to spend an extended period of time together because of an external threat.

Where Jack is concerned, I'd dig threads set sometime during AWE - imho it's pretty strongly implied (especially in the extended version of the scene) that despite deeply resenting Jack, Beckett's still attracted to him some decade after they first met; I question whether or not Jack was aware of that fact. Although he was objectively in the wrong and Jack did the morally responsible thing by liberating the slave ship, I think he nevertheless perceives himself as having been a victim in that situation and has a lot of repressed anger that he's never articulated - so maybe something that involves more tiptoeing around the heart of the issue, or, alternatively, maybe they finally do have a full conversation about it when one of them isn't holding a branding iron. Shipping beyond onesided attraction is possible, but would require some plot development.

FOR COLLINS: I'm mostly interested in stuff that takes place in his canon setting, the British colony of New South Wales circa 1788. I'd really like to do threads that center around the daily struggles of life in the colony (i.e. venomous snakes, rations reaching critical lows, sinking morale), although if you're familiar with the events of his canon they can definitely be used as a jumping point as well. I'd also be down to AU him into the Revolutionary War. I don't really ship Collins with any of his castmates with the exception of maybe MacDonald, but I'm open to shipping him XC if the two characters are a good match.
