Hi! Maybe you'd be interested in deerington? It's a horror dreamscape, and while there IS body horror involved, you can easily opt out of those prompts and focus on the psychological horror aspects instead. Your characters MAY get scrapes and injuries here and there, though-- it gets pretty hectic whenever action threads go about. :) Powers aren't nerfed so much as they're warped (i.e. Logan can heal in his canon, but now when he heals his wounds get transferred to anyone nearby!), and you can read more about that here.

I think in general the game's pace depends on how much you involve your characters; if you decide to involve them in the plot a lot, you'll have to tag more! But if you just involve them enough to impact the setting, it's way easier to control how many threads you're doing at once.

AC is simple and points-based-- you need 30 points monthly to pass with log tags counting for 3 points each and network tags counting for 1 point each. Bonus points are slightly more complicated, but can be used to get extra stuff for your character (like items from their homeworld). Not everyone in game uses them, so you don't have to do all that extra calculation if you don't wanna. Or you can just compute enough until you have the amount of points you need for things and then not compute anything for the rest of your life.

I personally am in a GMT+8 timezone, and while most of the other players are elsewhere, some of them stay up pretty late or wake up pretty early! Everyone's chill with slower tags, though. I ALSO HAVE TO COMMEND THE CROSSCANON AND CROSSMEDIUM STUFF. So much of Logan's significant CR comes from crosscanon threads, and it's so so so fun and wonderful. <3
