OKay, maybe I'm just dedicated to collecting all the spiders-men for this game, but if you're interested in a medium-paced horror game with a strong meta-plot, then I think populationyou might be a good fit.
The game itself is based directly on Silent Hill, and features events that are either focused on surviving a hostile environment or on handling canonical monsters, which are often symbolic of regrets or traumas. We recently had three characters die after failing a challenge (though death is not the end for them! There's a resurrection mechanic), but the characters also all came together and have a plan to deal with a boss monster that's going better.
We're definitely backtag friendly, and AC requirements are pretty low. The general philosophy seems to be "high IC stakes, low OOC pressure."
