I also like the 'good' ending, so no worries there =)
I know it makes Hank upset when Connor dies and just shows up the next day, but I usually play on easy, so it's easy enough to fix. I also imagine maybe Hank was mad because he was so upset that Connor died. Maybe mourned him. Maybe questioned his feelings for Connor in the relative safety of thinking he's gone. Then Connor is just there the next day and I feel like the anger maybe comes from THANKS FOR NOT LETTING ME KNOW YOU'RE ALIVE ASSHOLE B(
Or something. Perhaps something we could play around with =3 I am all for confused and conflicting feelings also >:3
I've only done some personal writing so I've not explored them too much, but damn, the game gives one so much to work with!
HM. I really like the idea of Connor going in to kiss Hank because he thought that's what was happening LOL Maybe that, coupled with a few other things to kinda nudge Hank thinking in that direction?
Also I have this plot bunny: post game Detroit is an android state, and even if you end peacefully, obviously some humans are still gonna be assholes and there will probably be tension between humans who are determined to get thier hate on.
So maybe somehow Hank has to leave Detroit for... something. And gets stuck outside the state (I usually stick him in New York for this plot because it's right across lake eerie) and when he doesn't get back on time, Connor starts to worry because at this point there's check points set up, making sure people be human, probably peeps out attacking android sympathisers because all those assholes aren't gonna suddenly stop being assholes.
And because it would be super unsafe for Connor to leave Detroit as is, he gets a whole bunch of advanced upgrades, and incidentally the most advanced models, other than him, are child androids and, I imagine, sex androids (they can probably simulate bodily fluids, for example?) and the children androids have things like body heat and such
So in order to more safely get through the check points to go look for Hank, Connor gets all these upgrades to help him pass for human. I imagine that would include new senses (sex androids seem able to smell) and, if Connor had not had ah... 'realistic hardware' in PLACES (which is debatable either way) he would totally have it now. What if the check points required a strip search? I think maybe the tests would fluctuate because some folk would still be really paranoid
So maybe the kiss at the burger place (as wonderfully awkward as that would be xD) and then something like the other plot following, if you dig it?
I imagine having a conversation about those upgrades (which I imagine Connor would be kinda nonchalant or casual about) might bring up some unusual trains of thought for Hank, maybe xD LOL
