ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be frozen and/or deleted. Please refrain from spamming entries with the same game without personalizing the ad. Due to repeat spamming by The Fleet, I'll be screening every comment from this game's players that doesn't make it clear why a character is being invited.

If you personally would like to play with the offered characters, say so, but as it stands, it looks like the players of this game have just been spamming anyone that has remotely matching preferences.

I kind of thought recommending the game to people who's interests matched it was the point of this, so I'm... honestly not sure how it's considered spamming to do that? We're a fairly small game and would honestly be happy to have anybody who's willing to give us a shot.

But I'll try and make my recommendations more personal from now on if you think basic ones like this are a problem. Neither I nor my fellow players there are looking to cause any trouble.

If you want to personally see a particular character, regardless of whether it's a castmate or maybe just a character you'd love to have CR with, that's fine, but the ad should mention that and be geared towards that specific character/player. If you'd like examples of what's acceptable, a few The Fleet ads on the meme were left untouched because the players posting them made them more specific by mentioning things like castmates or possible CR they wanted to have. Here's an example of one that was personalized. Even though the player didn't have a castmate to offer, she at least talked about possible CR and her personal interest in playing with the character.

As it stands, players in The Fleet have been using the same generic ads for quite a few players, which means you're not seeking to give those players a personalized suggestion as to why they should join. Posting generic ads to try to fish for players isn't what this part of the meme is for. This part of the meme is meant to cater more towards players in giving them specific suggestions in the hope of providing them exactly what they're looking for, offering castmates or potential interesting CR, etc. More general generic ads can be posted in the game ads section.

A good rule of thumb is if you can repost your ad to someone else word for word and still have it fit, it's probably not personalized enough. You should at least have some small part of it that's specific to the offered character ad. Please keep that in mind for the future.

In that case, the people can find it on their own. There are ads all over DW. The point of this meme isn't to recommend just based on preferences because most people are aware of almost every game. They want to find somewhere they're wanted, that people know their character, and want them individually. No one wants to be faceless nobody that is a number, even if you're super glad to have them in your game and you want to play with them.

Have you ever considered victory_road? I play Basch there, having Pokemon adventures. (His canon point is very early as well [he was still in the cage], and I'd love an Ashe for him.)

The game - other then being Pokemon Adventures and a lot of self-made fun and SoL - is also very back tag friendly and the AC is rather easy. Just 2 threads with around 7 comments from your character. If you're not familiar with Pokemon, there's a lot of people who can help as well, including me. A lot of things in the game are player-made plots and ideas. There's now also monthly plots, either big or small - for example, last month, people saw ghosts of people that had died and they felt guilty about. (Or who they thought were dead.)

Apps are checked every two weeks, and there's a lot of different canons represented as well.

If you're not interested in cute monster adventures, it's fine, but I'd love to have you there!

EDITED TO ADD: They also allow OCs - and FFXIV-based ones are okay. I'm planning on apping my Lalafell sometime soon, in fact.

The next app round isn't until November, but there's a cast that includes Balthier, Fran, and Penelo over at tanagura who'd love an Ashe. It is a smut game, but there's definitely an overarching plot involving the caste system, learning more about the history of the world and trying to find ways home. It's very backtag friendly and AC is fairly easy.
