If you don't mind AU/mem-loss, perhaps give saveourearth a look for the Belchers specifically? In many ways it is a "characters lived a mundane life until they discover weird things happening" type of story, and should accommodate a character from a SoL canon quite well if they are curious enough to check out unusual things (so far the most useful 'ablities' have mostly been along the lines of 'is able to have a pleasant conversation', 'likes cats', 'has access to an airplane', 'knows chemistry on a high school level', and other things like that). She could even start the game from a position very similar to her own canon situation, if you would want that.
