September EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. [game info]: New arrivals to Imeeji will find themselves sorted onto one of twelve themed idol teams that are pit against one another periodically in mini-games that vary in dynamic and seriousness from social bingo and kissing games to deadly battle royales. This is just the tip of the iceberg: should they so choose, they can become more deeply embroiled in the ongoing plot, which has revealed that the idols are in the midst of a cosmic battle between hell and the remnants of heaven. The game itself is somewhere between slice of life and horror-fantasy, the latter being understood to be an integral part of the game HOWEVER you do have some control over how much horror or gore your character is forced to interact with/how often. Regularly occurring events like permanent upgrades to the game's space, mini-game/event-running NPCs, and player-created and IC-ly received fanmail make for unique opportunities to shape the game and interact with characters rarely available in other places.
The game technically starts as memloss for new members, but characters are very easily capable of earning memories back.
CURRENTLY our cast consists of Yona, who has been in Imeeji the longest, Shin-ah, who's on the same team as Yona, and Kija, who has been in game since around the beginning of the year. Our gang is really interested in getting more involved in the ongoing-plot and have recently been involved in an event that let us give them some really unique physical additions ala spooky accidental corruptions. We feel like the gang would benefit from more dragon fam and friends joining, and we personally OOCly welcome any/all drama whether it's friends, enemies, etc (Nothing like having to watch your friends be maimed for sport, amirite??).
Recently characters were put through a fairly traumatic event called Betrayal, in which many characters were possessed and attacked other units and loved ones.

The main plotline is getting home while uncovering a little bit about the setting itself.

Based on the popular podcast, The Adventure Zone, Balance brings characters into the world of Faerun, where they are employed by the Bureau of Balance to hunt down powerful artifacts known as the Grand Relics. These are achieved by missions, where characters have a direct impact on how things play out and a chance to use dice rolls to determine outcomes. But there's plenty of times for shenanigans in between all that saving the world stuff.
Roxas and Hayner have both been through a bit of a rough time with the last missions (which went to Wonderland), so seeing some friends might help boost their spirits.
The test drive for the game will be happening on October 7th, with reserves opening on the 9th and apps on the 11th. This will be the LAST app round for the game (due to plot reasons) so if you've had any interest, now might be a good time to jump on the bandwagon!

[game info]: In The Night is a horror game! It started up this summer and has really found its stride and is going strong. It's strongly based around plot and exploration, while also featuring regular events and excellent NPCs.
All characters arrive having just died, but your character doesn't have to be dead in canon, you can come up with a way they might have died in order to be sent to the very dark, very mysterious town of Beacon.

[game info]: Game Premise. Duplicity is a dark-themed smut game that deals with pulling out characters worst impulses and exploiting their flaws. There's no smut AC requirement, though. I've been personally focusing on more of the dark aspects with the Archivist, getting involved in things that pull him toward dragging Statements out of people and struggling to hang onto his tenuous humanity.

[game info]: Imagine a world where any/all emotions you feel affect your surroundings, with the stronger the emotions, the bigger the effect. That's basically the setting in a nutshell. The game is fairly active with lots of plot to get involved in... or not if that's not your thing. Really, if you want to just sit and channel your happiness to make flowers grow that's cool too, and most the Fate/ cast thrives on backtagging so no worries if you're a slow tagger! Either way, the possibilities are nigh-endless, there's a solid core cast already but always room for more, and minimal (if any) power nerfing for most characters.
With that said, please note if you're an FGO apper, the game's app rules mean that only canon points that have been released in the English version are allowed. Currently that means the most recent appable point for the next app round will be Agartha for main story chapters, or Nerofest 2019 for events. But anything within that limit is definitely fair game, and test driving characters that aren't appable yet is perfectly fine too. Also please note that while currently the Fate/ cast is primarily from FGO, you do not by any means need to feel obligated to app those versions. Go ahead, bring us some alternate timeline shenanigans!
Anyway, the next app round isn't until the beginning of November, so there's plenty of time to plan and test drive. For all the fun in-depth info there's the main navigation to all the things, and should you want to take a quick dip before diving in to see if it's your thing, there's always the current test drive!

THE ADVENTURE ZONE @ DEERINGTON

[game info]: Deerington is a horror game inspired by dreamscapes and old style horror in small town America. There's a ton to do and lots of options, as well as sequential events and an overarching plot dedicated to a mysterious girl named Sodder and the deer in the woods. The cast hasn't been around long (we just apped last month) so they're still getting their bearings in the world and looking to explore more of it's mysteries. The AC is 30 "points" a month where log comments count for 3, so you can do it in 10 log comments a month. Reserves open at the top of the month and apps on the 5th! Daybreak Academy is an AU game set at a magic school that trains characters to fend off an oncoming apocalypse called Nightfall. During Nightfall the magical world of the Outlands and the human world would converge, leading to humanity likely being wiped out. Obviously, we don't want that! At Daybreak Academy people from many different walks of life (normal humans, vampires, werewolves, ancient demons, etc etc) come together for the purpose of ensuring it doesn't come to pass.
Despite being an AU game, Daybreak gives players a lot of freedom to create AUs that are as canon-close as possible. Since we have a sizeable cast already, there is a bit of a cast AU already in place, but we'd all love to work with you to expand it and suit it to your needs. A short overview of what we have already established is this:
Garrison: A Rune Guard that fights for the protection of civilians that know nothing about the magical world. It's tragically not space-associated (yet?). James and Nadia are aiming to join it, Pidge's family is in it... It's still pretty roughly defined only, you can carve your space into it.
Altea + Voltron: An ancient Outlands civilization that was destroyed a long long long time ago. The Voltron lions are rune mechs created by this civilization. Allura has currently woken up from her slumber and two of the lions have been found.
Galra: An apocalyptic werewolf clan. Though they are werewolves, their 'human' forms usually involve being huge and purple, don't worry. They currently haven't been discovered in-game yet, so lots of things to work with if you app in fresh.
We still have the mystery of Altea's destruction to fully uncover, but it involves a coalition between Galra werewolves and necromancers! In the future, Allura is also going to be finding Oriande, so we have a lot of exciting things to look forward to.
Missions into the Outlands are possible and encouraged in the game, sometimes with consequences for the whole game. Daybreak's story is a tightly-woven mix of mod-provided world-building and many imaginative player plots. There is a lot of freedom to create the events you want to see and tie them into the overall narrative!

Prismatica is a sci-fi/fantasy neon technological wonderland panfandom game. The setting is sex-friendly but it is not required. Game elements are given if you want to play with the sex-friendly/furry-friendly/action packed/SOL side of things, so it is really whatever you want to make of it. Choose your own adventure! It is very backtag-friendly and low-pressure.

VIKINGS @ ASGARD

[game info]: So Asgard is a game where your characters get brought through Yggdrasil to the city of the gods. Odin, Honir, Tyr, Sigyn and the like are available as NPCs. You pick a god house for your character to belong to, which will grant them magical powers that you pick, which is easiest done by picking from a D&D list, though beyond basically providing inspiration for the powers there's no tabletop mechanics involved. So really, what a better game then this to put Viking characters in?
There's a good mixture between SOL and a designated plot, as there's an event about every month that is totally opt-in. There's been a dragon fought, with people also taking such roles as healing, protecting the natives of the city, and repairing the damage caused by the fight rather then just outright fighting the beast. Currently, animals just started showing up in Asgard. Ivar himself had a network post where he expressed some strong opinions on the matter.
Ivar's been settling in nicely, slowly making friends and learning that murder isn't the best solution for everything. Athelstan has mostly been wrangling him to make sure he behaves himself. Come join the Vikings cast!
CRITICAL ROLE S2 @ LIFEAFTR

[game info]: A survival game located on a far-off archipelago, helped along by a god who runs on stories. From in-game votes, characters are allowed to travel to other islands, discover the mystery of the world itself, it's broken-off islands, and how they happened to come here. AC is VERY low (3 comments in a single thread per month) and involves HEAVY player interaction with the plot. You can also sit back and roll with the punches! It is important to note that it is a low-tech setting and there is some power nerfing (but not total loss)- check out the linked pages for more info.

This is also one of the few games where I could see Ikutsuki working reasonably well, and I will totally enable someone to be awful. Also I will provide anyone with icons/space if they bring a Ryoji. I'm not joking, I have Ideas.
The Wildcard gang would really like a Souji/Yu to complete the trio (quartet if we get P3-kun???), but everyone from P4 would be p great. Personal wish for Naoto, because give me both detective princes, let me stalk this CR.
And finally PHANTOM THIEVES WE WANT ALL OF YOU. I know our Ren would especially love a Futaba (and Sojiro if anyone plays him), and an Ann would be fantastic! Also Hifumi and Mishima? Seriously, bring us all these kids.
[game info]: Daybreak Academy is a AU magical school game centered around saving the world from an upcoming cataclysmic event. Students and teachers are both playable, and the game incorporates mission logs, monthly events and player-run plots really well. AC is also very lenient, with a 10 comment requirement for all players, and an additional log from faculty members—running a class, running a mission, things like that! The player base is extremely active, so there's always something going on. I would put this game at around slow to medium-pace, but everyone is very backtag friendly so it never feels rushed. Also, school is just starting up again in-game, so this would be a fantastic opportunity to join!

Duplicity is a sex game (but sex is not required for AC) that explores darker aspects of a character's personality and desires in a city that automatically sorts new arrivals into a caste system. Dominants live in the Up, the nicer part of the city, while Submissives are housed in the Down, the city's dark underbelly.
AC requirements are any two of the following: 5 log comments from your character, an open network log or post from your character, 10 network comments from your character, or 15 private inbox comments from your character, and TDM threads can be used!

[game info]: Prismatica is a neon-colored, technologically advanced planet where 80s aesthetic reigns supreme and the energy generated by physical touch powers the world! Characters arrive blessed by one of three moons, which impart pick-and-choose animal traits and personality effects for one week out of the month. Events tend to be a mix of SOL and action prompts, with optional sexy/NSFW themes. While the game is very large, it is very low pressure, with easy AC and a backtag friendly playerbase. Our RWBY cast definitely exploded over the last few months, so there's never been a better time to join! A mixture of serious and absolutely ridiculous, also dumb school life shenanigans and magical shenanigans. Stands are made into a type of familiar and basically pretty easy to throw into the AU premise. Willing to work with anyone that might be interested as I've just been kind of winging Jolyne's shenanigans and stuff this whole entire time.

[game info]: Prismatica is a sci-fi/fantasy game set on the titular planet, where characters are brought to resolve a sort of energy crisis caused by lack of a resource called Chroma. Chroma is generated by intimate physical contact (starting with hand-holding and hugging and going up, with more intimate actions generating more Chroma) and is also used by characters as currency. In addition to this, characters in the setting come under the "blessing" of one of the three moons (Sanguis, Cordis, or Iris), which gives various physical, emotional and supernatural changes when that moon is full. These changes can be taken or not taken at the player's discretion and changed month to month, so the system is very flexible and fun to play around with! Events in the setting tend to vary between action, exploration and more lighthearted fare, with plenty of combat opportunities for characters that way inclined and exploration opening up other moon locations to potentially become permanent parts of the game setting later (previously discovered locations are working on safer routes to the main city the game is set in), so it's pretty easy to find stuff to do for most kinds of characters.
The TDM and reserves usually go up about a week into the month, with a game EMP a few days beforehand.

[game info]: Premise. Penance is set in Hell. The basic idea is that your character is either being redeemed or further damned by what they do. Turns out this is all part of some scheme by Lucifer to get back in the Big Guy's good graces, and there's a demonic rebellion going on! Meanwhile, Spike might actually admit he likes Faye after risking life and limb to save her from said demon rebels. Maybe.

Game elements are given if you want to play with the sex-friendly/furry-friendly/action packed/SOL side of things, so it is really whatever you want to make of it. Choose your own adventure! It is very backtag-friendly and low-pressure." The sex part is indeed option; the Kay player and I have both been opting of smut and still building up lots of CR!
Our AA trio hails from different canon points. Gumshoe’s from the first AAI, Kay is from the second, and Edgeworth is from way back in his Bratworth days, after the trial of Terry Fawles. So they’ve been sorting out some of timeline differences, and Gumshoe’s been trying to rebuild a connection to Edgeworth while dropping spoilers of the future here and there. They could use some help - or even more timeline confusion! Gumshoe’s also joined the Moon Knights, the local law enforcement.
The game’s AC is just three log comments or five network comments per month. The next test drive and reserves should go live on October 8th, while apps should be open from October 15-22nd. If there are any questions, feel free to ask!
