ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. Preferences:

• Open to PSL's, GPSL's, games, memes, etc. I'm still learning what everything is over here, so I'll try whatever seems fun.
  
• Ship or gen, g rated all the way to smut, but I sometimes take a while to get to smut, and like to have a little bit of plot going on along with the ship.
  
• Crossfandom ships are always welcome, but I'd usually rather have at least passing knowledge of the other character(s) involved's fandom.
  
• Slash, poly, het, fem all welcome, though I lean most heavily toward slash and poly ships.
  
• I love AU's, whatifs, or dumping characters in other fandoms. My only preference is to not take characters from a genre setting and depower them in coffeeshop type au's.
  
• Prose style works best for me.

Other Notes

I keep a very changeable schedule due to the nature of my disability, but will try to tag in a timely manner, that manner just may be at varying times of day.

I'm new to DW RP and don't have journals for many characters yet, but hope to get a few things I can use for game applications, as most of my more current things were private PSL's and otherwise I've been out of RP for a while.

Hurrah! I’m glad you’re interested. I’ve played Remus off and on pretty much since I first became involved in online RP, so he’s pretty nostalgic for me, too. I’m always excited to play him off of Sirius or any of his other childhood friends!I can play him from any period of his life, so I guess it all depends on whether we want to do something silly or angsty or action-packed or shippy. I’m cool with doing any of those, so maybe I can throw out a few options and ask you if there’s one you like most?

So: for a silly Marauders-era thread, maybe we can do something with the Marauder’s Map itself? We can do a thread where they’re writing it, or planning some kind of excursion to see where a secret passage goes. Or they could be in the middle of said excursion for something more actiony!

For something a little more angsty, I’ve never done a thread about the first time the two of them meet up again after the events of Prisoner of Azkaban. We know that Sirius goes into hiding for a little while somewhere tropical, but I assume he goes and spends a bit of time with Remus first, since they have a whoooole lot to catch up on. We could write that meeting and see where it goes.

For another angsty or actiony option, we could also go out into AU territory a bit. I’ve always thought it would be interesting if somehow during the war Sirius got into a fight with some of the werewolves in Voldemort’s employ and ended up getting bitten. We’d have a lot to work with there, with Remus trying to help Sirius get accustomed to life as a werewolf and Sirius feeling rightfully pretty pissed off at whoever bit him.

Or we could do something on the shippy or smutty side of things, like maybe just the two of them hanging out Netflix-and-Chill style. I haven’t done a lot of shippy things between them yet, but I’m happy to try!

If any of those options sound interesting to you, let me know and I can write up some kind of starter! If not, I’m also open to hearing any ideas you have!

Sirius was one of my first too. I'll warn you that I pretty much tuned out all the extra canon we've gotten for any of them since the original series ended though. I'm happy to add specific stuff in if it's wanted, but for the most part, I just kind of ignore it.

A lot of that sounds fun, to be honest! A goofy pining boys making the map would be light and fun. But I'm pretty tempted by the idea of werewolf bit Sirius. I'm happy for whichever we do to end up pretty shippy anyway.

I think one of those two would be good. Which way would you lean?

Also I don't have any current RP examples on DW for you, but I've written a lot of HP fic in the day, so if you want to scan any of it to see if my Sirius gels for you, you can see my stuff here if it helps you! (Not updated for forever, but still my basic Sirius.)

Okay, werewolf!Sirius it is, then! I really like this concept because it forces both of these two to talk about ~feelings~ and other subjects which neither of them want to broach.

That's one thing I like about your fics, actually - they show that there's a lot that goes unsaid between Remus and Sirius, stuff that neither of them really knows how to talk about. They have a very strong friendship, but there's a divide between them that they can only cross with actions, not words. That difference between them might even be what attracts them to one another - they're polar opposites in so many ways. You capture their relationship really well; I love your take on both Sirius and Remus (and everyone else in their lives)!

As for examples of my writing, I can give you a few old RP threads to look at and see if you like my take on Remus: here and here.

The threads are all from this account so they mostly show him when he's younger, but if you want, I can find some threads that show my version of older Remus, as well. If you think my Remus would go well with your Sirius, let's start a thread, shall we?

hi hello so thanks to finally catching up on Stranger Things, I have totally wanted to throw Stiles at a) an Will Byers, so they can bond over similar trauma, and b) an Steve because idk, Stiles is bi as hell and Steve's hair is nice and I'm proud of him for growing and developing meaningful relationships but like he wants to be in a romantic relationship, let him be with someone!!!

I'm really open to just about anything. Space adventure, murder-mystery, horror. Anything but slice of life, really. Bakerstreet can be an easy place to try characters out against each other, because there's prompts to play off of.
