The game is set on a floating island above a ruined world, where characters' emotions have effects on the environment around them. There's a mix of slice-of-life and plot, with room for a variety of tones; what you take on is up to you! There are opportunities to explore the world and uncover its mysteries, as well as a task board with a variety of different quests/odd jobs that characters can take on, and regular events that can play with characters’ emotions.
AC is also very simple, with ten comments (or an entry + seven comments) that can be spread across multiple links. Apps have also now switched to bimonthly, so this will be the last cycle of the year, and the next one after November’s will be in January.
