October EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. You rouse to a splash of sea salt drying on your skin. A haze of glass-white sand glitters in your vision, dappled by lush palms and thick, curling foliage that disappears into a jungle of deep jade. From behind, crackling wood and sawing rope groan from a mangled life raft ran ashore. A petering wash of tide over pebbled sand fills your ears as you struggle to gain your bearings in a vast portrait of tropical color.
Perhaps you have arrived here without warning, plucked from a world you hadn’t expected to so suddenly depart. Perhaps you had met your final destination long before you stirred upon these crystal shores. Your guide, the Storyteller, does not discriminate. Lifeaftr is a panfandom game set in an archipelago of the same name, with a heavy focus on survival, exploration, and worldbuilding. Both player and IC influence are strong factors in shaping the dynamic setting, as well as the incorporation of RNG elements. Primary genres are survival and adventure, with genre shifts circling a broad range in accordance with plots and events.

You may try to explain this to your friends and loved ones ... but you're unable to get the words out. So you try and break from the routine. If you're a hero, you may try to hurt someone; a villain, you may try to do some good. But you can't. Your life is on rails, and you can't break free. In preparation for our planned endgame next summer, our FINAL FOURTH WALL AND APP ROUND will take place November 7-25, after which time old players will still be welcome to re-app idled characters. If you’d like to chuck someone at us and see how they get on, the time is now! During this Fourth Wall, new & veteran characters alike will get a chance to play with some of the space- and mind-warping cosmic powers of the Arcana, as the new arrivals signal a shift in the balance of power in the game the Arcana are playing...
In December & January, the next universe visited will be either The Ark, a cyberpunk dystopia on a harsh alien world, or Slivers & Shards, a post-apocalyptic culture of psychics who are being hunted by rapidly evolving, city-eating kaiju.

Will you find the source, or an answer to why you're here? Are you the cause of this deterioration or the solution? Does this world matter to you, or is there something more important waiting beyond the horizon? All you know is that you have been changed. Now it's time to make a decision. Will you look for answers, or just a way home?
MEADOWLARK is a panfandom sci-fi/science fantasy cyberpunk game set on a far future Earth radically changed by war, climate change and a series of catastrophic geological phenomena. The human race now lives in dense mega-cities, carefully contained under firm government controls, or terraforming colonies orbiting several planets and moons.
Characters arrive in game having already been in this world for several months. Experiencing the effects of heavy sedation, and showing signs of multiple medical procedures, they have no memory of where they have been held, what has been done to them, or how they came to be here. They have been left with lasting changes: a neural implant in their head, and some unknown glowing blue matter fused into their sternum which prevents use of canon powers while also providing a shared empathy bond and a new power.
Primarily constructed as an open-world setting with an over-arching core mod plot, Meadowlark is designed to adapt and adjust to the choices characters make and the paths they forge through the game. As the world begins to experience a series of strange and cataclysmic events, characters will find that the mystery of what happened to them is linked to the fate of this solar system and the people living in it. They will be pushed to make many choices and explore their own beliefs and motivations as they move through a world disrupted by the threat of an oncoming apocalypse, when all they may truly want to do is simply return home.

No one knows the how or why of who ends up in the colony of Anchor. No one knows to which universe the planet it's stationed on originally belonged. It is just as out of place as you. Stuck in the same universal lost and found as everything else that disappears from one universe or another without a trace. All anyone really knows is that while the space around the planet, and the people on it, may blip in and out of existence, the planet itself remains the same. Tethered to the unknown. Is Anchor the center of the multiverse, or is it the cosmic junk heap? When it sucks people, places, and things in, can it spit them back out, or do they simply cease to exist on the other side?
Was your signal lost, or was your connection purposefully intercepted?
Part colony, part research facility, Anchor was built by those who came before you. The disappeared. Maybe they found their way home - or maybe they didn’t.
Maybe you'll survive long enough to find out.
REDSHIFT is a pan-fandom CRAU-focused survival game with elements of horror, set on an unnamed planet that exists in the dead space between universes. Player-driven and exploration focused, the colony of Anchor's facilities and story can be unlocked piece by piece through character actions.
Given the focus on CRAU, it's possible to find multiple versions of a single character in-game. Creatures, places, and things from other universes may also make appearances, temporary or permanent, by plot or player suggestion. The way things go is largely up to you.

VOIDTRECKER EXPRESS
You come to on a smokey railway platform, wearing clothes that are not your own, with a rucksack of supplies and a strange watch-like device around your wrist. There is a ticket in your hand you have no memory of purchasing ... and as you realise this the smoke clears and you stand beside a jet black steam train. The doors open, inviting you to board.
Travelling through the spaces in between, the gaps in the fabric of reality, the veil between worlds. This is the Voidtrecker Express. Heroes from every world imaginable find themselves plucked from their lives, their homes and on a platform at the edge of the void. Waiting for a train. A train that will take them where they are needed the most.
One of those heroes, for good or ill is you.

Voidtrecker Express is a panfandom role-playing game set on an inter-dimensional train. Characters will travel through a multi coloured ever changing void to different worlds where they are needed. The game runs in 1:2 (IC:OOC) time and events are monthly. Events alternate between missions on the different worlds and events on the train. Due to the world hopping nature of the game events will incorporate a variety of genres.
The test drive meme will go up on the 12th November. Reserves open on the 13th November and applications open on 20th November.

Unexpected Arrival
The chosen individuals at random find themselves lost in unfamiliar lands, surrounded by individuals they've never met. Why is everyone here? How will everyone be able to get home? What exactly IS this bizarre world? Questions, so many questions... and the answers never come easy.
Discover and Explore
There's no fancy name for this odd world in between worlds. Those who have lived in this world the longest commonly calls it the Nexus. There's plentiful space to move about and make a home in, and resources as well.
