November EMP Meme

ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. I rped on discord when the game first came out but around December most of the rpers kinda went separate ways so I took a break (after making this account) then just floated around enjoying fandom from fanfic/fanart side. So I've got the same hope that the PC release will either ignite or reignite interest in RPing the characters and we all see an influx of familiar faces. :3

I stuck with reading fic for several months before I started rping here, and by the time I got into it most of the hype had died down and players moved on, so here's hoping for round two! There aren't nearly enough of us around.

I've actually been looking at Duplicity the last couple of days. It reminds me of eudio back in the day. Sort of. I haven't really delved into the premise or anything, just given it a glance or two. I'll definitely give it a closer look.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHH. It's a sex game, but you really don't have to play out the sex at all if you don't want to. It's not necessary for ac. I've been there almost five months and I've really been enjoying it. The people are chill and friendly and I've always got more than enough going on to make ac every month (which isn't hard). It's like anything else, you gotta tag out some to meet people. But with Connor there Gavin would already have someone to bother him. ;)

The AMA, tho. I desperately wanted to give him a reason for his anger and disrespect so just went with it. It was nice just getting it out there.

That's totally why it reminds me of Eudio; it was a sex game that you could bypass the whole sex thing and just have intimacy instead (i.e. cuddling, sleep-sleeping together, etc). It was pretty interesting and though I wasn't there long it was pretty nice. If Duplicity is about the same then that's something I would be interested in trying out. I'll check out the TDM tomorrow or monday then :D

That works though. I mean, Hank did the same thing and he ended up Connor's best friend, right? Sometimes he even kills him and they still might possibly end up friends. It's crazy, poor Gavin!

Oh, that's right. I never played there but I looked into it once. In Duplicity they do have to have sex, but you can just say they're doing it and no one looks at you cross-eyed or anything which is nice.

If you post Gavin to the TDM make sure to let me know and I'll have Connor jump on it! :D

Hooboy, YES. I was telling everyone who would listen that all Gavin needed to be taken off the asshole for life list was opportunity. Because if Hank Anderson can go from drunken anti-android jackass to semi-respectable 'friend' and android supporter then so could Gavin. Or at least given a chance to be something more than the 2D cartoon bully who somehow gets more hate than Perkins.

Just would like him to have that opportunity.

Yeah, he never got much of a chance there, did he? He gets redeemed in plenty of fics, but in canon he's still on the jerkwad list. ALTHOUGH now that I think about it, he pulled his gun on Connor at least what, twice, maybe three times? Gavin might be a little harder to redeem, but he could still be in the running if he's sincere. Okay now that I will never understand. Perkins is a prick.

Connor would give him the opportunity after he's convinced Gavin deserves it. In Duplicity I take Connor directly from the Revolution, as he's on his way to meet with Hank (poor guys never got their hug!), so Gavin is still on his shitlist. :D

It actually depends on the route taken and whether or not you consider some of the information and evidence available. Like, I have a lot of feelings about how the cops were handling situations because of the information they've been given and what they may/may not have seen while things were going down. And a lot of feelings about what Markus does/doesn't do, especially during Capitol Park.

It's pretty much about perspective, bias, and what constitutes as 'the right thing' in the given moment while taking into account what information may or may not have been available. And I will totally share all my thoughts on the subject to anyone that'll listen because there's SO MUCH that can be interpreted from even the shortest of scenes/interactions. But maybe in dm or something because there's A LOT.

My Gav is from a route where Connor doesn't interact with him but from the one time in the interrogation room but I have played the game several times and did a lot of hunting for every interaction and secret I could find so I know how their encounters go if/when they happen. Which means that would be a wild ride if those two met/talked/whathaveyou. xD I so want to see how that plays out! making notes on what I might do for the TDM, honestly.

I've only played through once, and everything else I know has come from watching other people play so I didn't know that you could encounter Gavin only in the interrogation room, for instance! That's why I love this game, despite its problems. There's always something new to discover!

If you want to ramble on at me, I'm more than happy to listen! I love talking DBH, even if I may not have any spectacular insight to add. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Also, I follow this cutscene compilation for my Connor because I made some different choices in my playthrough that I regret now, lol. It's basically all the good choices.
