but actually, have you considered aefenglom as an option for any of your muses? it's a (quite) plot-heavy game; generally steampunk/fantasy-themed but with a lot of horror elements (post-apocalyptic setting, horrible plague devouring the world, etcetera). powers aren't nerfed per se but characters do get a power makeover--they can either be a magic-using Witch or slowly transform into one of several different types of Monster, all of which have different weaknesses and abilities of their own.
