ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." for lio: anything plot-intensive would be great! i'm fond of canon divergences and aus that dig at things the original canon doesn't really explore. i think i'd be especially interested in exploring things like:
[SPOILER ALERT]

• divergences from the second half of the film, e.g. what if there wasn't a convenient solution in deus ex machina or lio's revelation with the nature of the promare's wish. or, alternatively: what if the promare weren't returned home, and people have to reconcile their differences when the burnish still wield dangerous abilities?
• it might also be interesting to explore a scenario where the push and pull between mad burnish and foresight foundation is much more even—e.g., what if the burnish did successfully establish a city of their own, and how would surrounding cities such as promepolis cope with the emergence of a larger collective of burnish who have proven themselves capable of successfully repelling military force?
• psls with a gueira or meis would be wonderful. i think it could be nice to explore more of the time between what's shown in the lio-hen short and the start of the movie. things like lio settling into his role and how he wins over more of gueira's and meis' respect. or even more on the balance of power between them, like how the three of them hold each other accountable to their expectations—like staying true to their "burnish don't kill without reason" creed, or planning out a sustainable endgame that isn't just "recklessly attack promepolis and maybe eventually go out with a bang."
• i always love galo/lio threads as well! one particular galo/lio indulgence i would love to write is something where lio operates undercover in promepolis when he isn't on mad burnish missions, and he's figured out a way to infiltrate foresight foundation as an employee to unravel the truth of the experiments. except somewhere along the way, he gets romantically entangled with galo and catches feelings, all while galo doesn't know his real identity as the leader of mad burnish. i'd love to explore a dichotomy between whenever lio meets up with galo as a normal "civilian" and how they interact with each other when they run into each other as enemies, as well as lio's internal conflict over the deception. fight scenes not necessary, but not gonna lie, i looove the idea of them pulling all kinds of wild gravity-defying stunts and slowly becoming enamored with each other because of the thrill of each fight.
• cross-canon threads with characters who have undergone similar hardships and traumas would be interesting to explore! characters who have been pressed into situations where they've had to resort to acts of terrorism, or people who are trying to spearhead their own sort of revolution against what they see as an oppressive regime, etc. some kind of jamjar setting that forces them to engage with each other on these topics could be fun to delve into, though i am also open to au-ing lio into the other character's setting, or vice-versa!
• i am weak for...fate aus... i could honestly play lio as either a master or a servant, but i love the prospect of exploring a clash or mesh of ideologies.... this would work well with cross-canon!

for sandalphon: anything plot-intensive as well would be wonderful!

• the singularity (gran or djeeta) would be interesting to play against, or other members of the grandcypher! some kind of political intrigue plot might be interesting, e.g. sandalphon has to go undercover with someone to unveil a plot to assassinate a figure of importance and intervene before it's too late...
• some kind of modern/reincarnation au of sorts, except sandalphon still bears the power of the supreme primarch and he is encountering a reincarnation of someone who used to know him—whether it's the singularity, or lucifer, or an enemy he is trying to monitor to see if they reawaken to their old memories. i think it would be interesting to see how he blends in with the rest of modern society, and it could also be fun to explore how his relationship develops with someone he feels he "knows" but they don't remember him back.
• cross-canon with characters who have undergone similar hardships/traumas would also be great! characters who have also been tasked with protecting the world against some kind of threat, or other people who also feel at least partially responsible for the death of someone they love or cherish... a jamjar setting that forces them to engage with each other on these topics could be fun to delve into, but i am also opening to au-ing sandalphon into your character's canon, or vice versa.
• ONCE AGAIN... i love fate aus. i would prefer to play sandalphon as a servant, but i think it would be interesting to take him from a different point from post-maydays for this so that there's much more urgency to whatever wish he has for the holy grail when he's brought into the war, and it would be interesting to see how well he gets along with whatever master he's paired with! whether he hates their guts, or learns to respect them, or even comes to genuinely want to lay his life down for them, etc. i would prefer cross-canon for this!

• mmx: looking for zero for this one. this is a little more unconventional, i suppose, but i'm really thirsting for an AU (post-X8, most likely) in which VAVA is sort of forced to work together with zero because...??? honestly, the details can be hammered out to be p much anything... VAVA weakened and begrudgingly working with zero, both of them captured by a common enemy...? or even a completely reworked canon divergence of any kind of flavor (i.e.: x is dead, VAVA never went maverick, zero and VAVA swapped roles in the story, etc!). this is probably the longest of shots, but i figure why not try! shipping/smut is also cool for this, though it would definitely take a lot of planning... sweats

I need you) My kingdom for a Zack Fair though- Aefenglom has a (pretty cool) monthly quest system and I've always wanted to play Cloud and Zack as mercs, living the dream.
[game info]: We have- a pre-Nibelheim incident Sephiroth, an AC Aerith and Kadaj, an OG Cloud, and tbh, it's a mess timeline-wise. I want to make it messier!

Aefenglom is a sex-friendly steampunk adventure with monthly events which progresses game plot, but more interestingly a quest system where characters can take a series of jobs posted on the boards around town for payment / hints about the game.

There's an interesting monster / witch system where you choose the designation for your character at the start. Witches favour magic but have the caveat of slowly going mad, and there's (in my mind) a ryslig lite system of slow transformation for monsters. The only way to make it easier on your character is bonding themselves to another, and a current total of 3 are allowed.

all-in-all, it's really fun!

♡ NPC-wise, anyone from Doma, the Steppe or Garlemald. She has a lot of feelings about her origins and history, and I love playing out suffering. Also Scions + allies, let her cause her friends massive headaches.
♡ Shipping-wise, I lean more towards slow-burn and prefer shipping with other OCs - though I like to build up and see how it would work. With NPCs, it would be the ones from previously mentioned areas i love suffering though I would wanna discuss things first. She's... a bit of a mess with emotions, and would be a bumbling idiot with feelings but could easily deal with things that were more physical.
