FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

I know, Naruto in this year of our lord 2020... I'm reviving him because I've been reading his shinden and have a dire need to re-explore his mindset. I don't have particular scenes in mind or characters I want to play him against, but I'm open to just cracking away at a meme prompt to see how it goes. I will say I enjoy darker and complex/psychological scenarios, at least with this particular character. Fluff will be hard to achieve; if it does happen, Itachi is just going to be bewildered and confused by it. Which is not to say I'll close my doors to sweet/kind characters, because that could be cute too.

To take a stab at some ideas, he's fun against more outgoing or emotionally expressive characters, but other analytical types are also cool to pit his mind against. It wouldn't be hard to AU him into other fantasy worlds either, or twist "mission" scenarios to our whim. If you have a character in mind, hit me up and we'll make it work! I admit I love shipping (m/m or m/f and I'm always down to write smut), but again Itachi is a challenge, so I'll go with the flow and am less inclined to force chemistry.

Jokes aside, hello, a fellow Naruto player in this, tYooL 2020. If you'd be up for it I could toss Rapunzel Itachi's way for some plotting/discussion to see if it's possible. I also have some others if you'd like to talk a little more in depth, some already have Naruto AU flavors available.

I've only really tried to AU her into the Naruto setting once before, but I'd be down for giving it a proper shot.

Oh god, Rapunzel, just looking at her is going to blind him... (which is to say, I'm totally on board with this challenge.)

I have him up on a handful of memes, and in particular the Hades and Persephone one, which I think may be suitable for their characters. I'm not picky on whether we stick to the Naruto-verse or not! A complete AU would work in my book too, though I like to keep some fantasy elements going.

Back to what you were saying: I like the idea of an AU rework on both sides. Do you have any preferences as to lore or setup for that meme scenario? Like, would you like them to be filling the roles of goddess of spring and god of the underworld, respectively? Not necessarily Hades and Persephone specifically, but maybe a world of our own making (could start vague and if it goes well we could fill it as we go), with their own incarnations with their own abilities/powers?

Ohhh I'm digging this AU rework, and I think going our own way/making it our own thing is awesome. I do like the idea of goddess of spring/god of the underworld, though, just as general ~roles~ they take - but how they actually embody those positions could be tweaked based on who they are (including abilities/powers). Does that make sense? Like Itachi is the god of the underworld, but what his underworld looks like could be unique to him. And same for Rapunzel. And maybe rather than Persephone getting trapped in the marriage, it's more... idk, arranged?

It really does. LOL Not to mention a lot's likely happened and changed since then.

I love it. New incarnations impacting their roles is definitely a big plus, and I love arranged match scenarios to boot. Gothel certainly fits the role of the possessive mother figure for this, but not the loving part, so I'm game for changing whatever we need or want to.

Do we want to flesh out details or just stick to some vague entity at the top being responsible for the arrangement? And I suppose, where would we be picking up, after the deal's been struck and she's arriving, earlier on, or later?

Also, thank you for linking! That'll definitely save a bit of time. Once we have the basics figured out I can write a starter for us.

Hmm, maybe keep it vague for now and we can fill in as we need. As for when to start, maybe later? I like the idea of starting in media res, where they've met each other but Itachi is perhaps a bit avoidant of the situation. Rapunzel could maybe arrive for a visit in the underworld, where she's supposed to live in the future for part of the year (we could say they're engaged but haven't actually married yet? I like the build up of that better). Let me know if this doesn't give you enough to work with.

YEAH RIGHT I had the same reaction. You can read the first part over here! Basically it's... just sad, filling in the gaps leading up to the massacre, starting from when he's 4 years old onward... but it gives a ton of insight because it's from his POV, which thrilled me.

God, exactly how I felt. I was like, I thought I escaped the anguish over this stupid tragic character... and then I started reading this and it gets worse and worse. Somehow Danzou's evilness is way more illustrative in it, too. Like even his breath smells bad hahaha.

Of course I'd be up for some rp!! Did you have any particular characters in mind? I've tossed Itachi up on a few memes on Bakerstreet (fighting, Denny's, trapped in a room, rain) but could go for any other one that appeals!

...Quite apparently you can never escape the anguish this character will bring. The few times I thought of this series, it was of him and how tragic he was and here they are feeding us more awful angst...how dare they! Also, lmao, I actually had that hc about Danzou, so if it's actually been confirmed I will cackle back into the shadows.

Right now, I am mostly active with this character ( the remaster of her game came out and I have played it like 3 times so far and she's also in a mobile one, so she's alive ) and oh, I also have her in the trapped in a room, rain ones, as well as the soulmates and Hades/Persephone (as I am a sucker for that myth ) ~~arranged marriage because damn that trope~~ I also used to play Hinata in the past, if you will prefer her.

Too true. I for one welcome the angst, hahaha. And I'm not canon familiar with Rinoa, but I'm totally open to giving it a shot and seeing how they mesh! I'm leaning toward either the trapped in a room or Hades/Persephone memes, just because I think those would have an easier hook to start off with. And Hinata is precious, but if you're feeling Rinoa more, I don't have a preference.

Let me know which meme you'd be more inclined toward! I definitely see Itachi as a reluctant Hades, and the arranged marriage situation makes more sense because he wouldn't instigate that himself.

And I can still see a reluctant Hades and equally reluctant Persephone, and I mean, myth wise arranged marriage still counts, as Zeus ( being the douche he was ) was like 'sure bro, you can marry her...I do not need to consult her mother or her about it, so my blessing you have and all you need' so I am sure we can come up with something ~~( reluctant Hades being accidentally kidnapped/stolen/bonded by/to a confused Persephone lmao )~~ unless you will prefer another meme for them.

Hinata!! <3 I'm all on board with this idea, she is just precious and I think they'd fit the bill for a Hades/Persephone dynamic. Let's go with a reluctant arranged marriage, maybe he could visit Hinata in her realm as a first introduction or meeting to each other? I'll be honest I'm not 100% savvy on the actual myth or lore surrounding Hades/Persephone, BUT as long as you don't mind some of it fudged or expanded on to fit the Naruto-ness of both characters... it should be a lot of fun!

Do you want to top level her over there, and I can write a starter? I may be a bit slow as I'm starting my work week soon, as a warning!

And yep, that sounds good, I mean, reluctant marriage sounds about right...TPTB is that powerful to command it and it shall be done. Also, worry not about not knowing much of the myth, as it is the myth has like different versions but as long as the basic is there should be no problem, plus we can adapt and all to fit the characters. I mean, for all we know this reluctant thing can be a last-ditch arrangement for a bid of peace, which is not coming or something, and this is stalling the inevitable ( I mean, every greek gods change was due to wars lol of one pantheon taking down the other )

So, in this year of our lord 2020, I can still pull this girl out when there are other ninjas around, though admittedly I am a little rusty. Still, I miss this series like I miss air. I'm in the ~~very~~ slow process of switching her icons out to her The Last redesign, but in the meantime, you can have at her, if you like.

Just be aware that my tagging speed is extremely slow because of my work schedule being at odd hours. Sometimes months will go by before I can send a tag back. But if there is still interest, I will backtag into forever.

I am totally up for Tenten! She's the best. I haven't properly written from Naruto in a number of years myself, so there's a lot of dust to brush off.

It's been a couple of years but Tenten was the last muse I played in an actual game, although I've been throwing my Final Fantasy characters into memes as of late. So, maybe we can clear out to cobwebs together! Unfortunately, Itachi's shinden is one of the few I haven't read through yet in the collection, but not for wanting, and eventually I will get to him. I love and just wanna hug this sad boy forever cuz he deserves it!

I totally feel that, and yes, we can dust them off together! I'm glad we have the additional canon from these collections, it's really nice for rounding out some parts of characterization.
