Ooh, that's a tough choice. Both pose fun opportunities, especially if set after Daniel "died" in 1955 (they staged his death to match what's in SHIELD history books). How is he alive? Who killed him? (It was Hydra and Peggy can't know that.) What the heck is going on and, hey, why isn't he limping anymore?
I'm slightly leaning toward him going back, but if you have a strong preference, I'm open to either. Also open to however you'd like to handle the Endgame ending, I know most Peggy players have an Opinion on it, whether it be for or against.
