So generally speaking I tend to playing soulbonds as kind of a sixth-sense feeling of attachment to the other person with no other concrete evidence for it. Leaves more room for confusion/denial of the bond than verses that use tattoos, glows, whatever. (But if you enjoy any of those other tropes, just say so!) Clear can easily confuse that feeling with 'this person is Master!' and gain persistent tagalong status whether Sid wants it of him or not.
As for the other part: if you dropped Sid wholesale into your ideal cyberpunk AU, what would it be like? When robots have the potential to be everywhere, Clear is probably easier to mold to Sid than vice versa.
