characters: The Iron Bull, Roland Deschain, Stan Pines fandom: Dragon Age, the Dark Tower, Gravity Falls
characters I’m looking for: crosscanon is welcome! But as far as canonmates go, the ones who particularly come to mind are:
- for Bull: Dorian, Krem, Solas, Vivienne, whoever you think would play off him in an interesting way - for Roland: Any main character (or member of his family, on the off chance anyone plays them) - for Stan: his family, Fiddleford, Soos
preferences: Bull - I have a page of ideas to get us started talking about what we’d want to do here. (I’m up for doing stuff outside that too, or changing the details on some of those ideas. They’re all just there to get the conversation started.) I’ve also tentatively started an Insanejournal for Bull, so if you have anything interesting going on over there that you’d like him to be a part of, hit me up.
Roland - I’m not nearly so organized with Roland, so we’ll have to figure something out for him organically. I love h/c, and Roland would play well off chatty, high energy characters who need more serious characters to sort of ground them a little. I’m just considering getting back into playing him after taking a break for a while, so I might need a strong plot for anything we do to help my characterization a bit. If anyone out here’s playing someone from his childhood, I’m particularly fond of Roland meeting up with old friends he thought were dead. This includes people who actually were dead - are they an AU version of the person Roland knew? Is this a complete AU where they never actually died? Is this some Tower fuckery? I’m particularly fond of this happening in a modern AU, for some reason, but anything goes.
Stan - Family feels are always pretty fun with him. Playing with his self worth issues is always great, especially when playing against a Ford. Something with a Fiddleford back when they were younger would let me play Stan all jealous of Ford and Fiddleford’s friendship. Or with Soos, something that plays with Stan’s fear of being seen as a father figure would be fun. It’s been a long time since I’ve played Stan and a long time since I’ve canon reviewed, so I’d feel a bit like I was voice testing picking him up again. But he’s so interesting, I’d be happy to.
re: playing out sex - I’m not into threads that revolve around this, I just get bored and don’t want to spend too much of the time focusing on sex, but if it happens to be right for the story I’d be down for getting a little practice writing sex scenes. I’m not looking for something like this with Stan, and with Roland would mostly be interested in exploring how being an asexual (as I play him) who doesn’t know asexuality is even a thing would shape his approach to sex, so don’t expect throes of passion with him or anything. Bull’s probably the one it’s going to be easiest with, possibly with some light BDSM and him (barring an established relationship with Dorian) doing the dom thing.
other notes: I’m mostly looking for long term threads. If we start a thing and life gets in the way or something and you have to go on hiatus for a while, feel free to come back after literally any period of time and chances are good I’ll be happy to RP.
I’d also like to remind people (especially if we’ve RPed together before) that if there’s some specific way I can improve I encourage y’all to let me know. If there’s a change I can make that will help threads go longer and make it a more rewarding experience to RP with me it would do me good to know about it. Thanks!
