November EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. [game info]: Duplicity is a panfandom dystopian sex game that centers around negative traits and the outcome of succumbing to darker urges. Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on horror, science fiction, exploration, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed. Events contain any of the aforementioned elements and serve to allow characters to further form and/or develop CR. Characters are assigned to be either Dominants or Submissives.
The Up part of the city is the lap of luxury where Dominants reside in their own extravagant apartments and have many opportunities and freedoms to pursue their favored lifestyle. Whereas the Down is home to Submissives who live in communal housing amidst crime and poverty, with very limited freedom or rights. Both roles are encouraged to form a mutual contract with each other, which allows a Submissive plenty more freedoms when assigned to a Dominant and access to the Up. Contracts do not need to be sexual in nature in order to be formed.
Ellie is a content warning all by herself due to her teenage canon point. She's still a new Dominant and adjusting from that Cordyceps life to the city life of Duplicity. On a personal note I haven't done or seen any of the actual gameplay of tlou2, only watched enough to fill a little of the time gap between games. [game info]: Premise is here! Basically, you can app your character in as either a Witch and get access to cool magics, or as a Monster and get access to cool physical changes and abilities. Gameplay heavily features "Bonds", which are empathic connections between characters that are great for expediting relationship development! The world itself is pretty vast and rich and has a lot of cool things going on with it.
AC is pretty light; 10 comments from either your own logs/posts/threads, or someone else's; though one of them does have to be a tag out to another character. Nothing too complicated.
Currently, Apps run on a queue system, but the queue itself is fairly short. There's a good chance you'll be able to get in quickly! If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up.

The New Hires have to navigate dangerous missions and corporate nonsense while finding ways to work against Jorgmund on the sly. It's a fantasy/horror/occasionally comedic game with a chill, casual OOC atmosphere.

Characters arrive as either Witches, able to tap into and use the inherent magic of the world, or Monsters, who kind of feed on magic to stop themselves going feral. In order to avoid the negative effects of either one, characters need to form magical Bonds between each other. Currently apps are on a rolling queue system and are processed about once a month (usually mid-month-ish) when the game dips below cap.

[game info]: Upcycle is a horror game where people are brought to an isolated town controlled by mysterious forces that are supposedly trying to shape them into something "new". Characters can collectively wish things like new shops or objects into existence, but if not everyone has the same idea on what something should be then it can go extremely wrong. Besides that, there's a lot of things around the town and particularly during events that may well kill most characters unless they have help to break out of it. TDMs and app rounds generally take place right towards the end of the month - this month's TDM went up on the 24th and is still running, and reserves just opened today!

[game info]: Ryslig is a horror game in which characters are taken to a mysterious peninsula by the Fog God who then starts turning them into human-eating monsters (which are chosen by the mods based either on randomization or personality traits). Hilarity ensues. Or maybe it's horrible things. It's both. Any non-human characters do have to be humanized first, but they start turning into monsters soon enough so that's fun anyway. Robotnik's a faerie, and basically a horrible bug man, and while he intends to get home by any means possible this faerie thing is useful and he intends to stay that way.
Apps close at the end of the day November 30th (EST) but there's still time! After that apps don't reopen til January. A TDM is still open even if you don't get one in on time, though. Come join me in monster-related Sonic weirdness!

[game info]: Chances are you already know about Duplicity! For basics, Duplicity is a darker-themed smut game, though smut is not required for AC. Characters are assigned roles of Submissives and Dominants, affecting their societal standing, and eventually being required to contract with individuals of the other designation.
Pam is taken from a mid-season 5, post-Michael Scott Paper Company but pre-Company Picnic canonpoint. That means she's currently engaged to Jim and...thus extra upset about her circumstances! She's super super new to the city, having been apped in last round, and has been designated a Submissive. She's a little apathetic about her current situation, not entirely acclimated to how the city works.

It's plot-heavy but you can engage with it at your own speed / pace, really (Mako is JUST starting to get involved himself), and there's a wide variety of events to engage with, from the TDMs to the Events themselves to some stuff in the monthly preludes. Very choose your own adventure with fun prompts to work off of, and some really great people. I love this game, y'all.
The TDM is up right now and it's hoppin'.
Cast-wise, our Korra just dropped, and Mako subsequently died, so it's going to be a Rough December for Mako and Bolin. Mako's just starting to get involved in the overarching Deer plot and just became a bartender because in this town (cats are the police (really) so he's out of a normal job for him). Mako is from midway through Ruins of the Empire, and Bolin is from mid s3.

[game info]: Avalon is a modern-day Arthurian legend RP where characters lose their powers but are granted a familiar and new type of magic upon arrival. Characters are told their world is threated by a magical cataclysm and Avalon has brought them out of time to fix it. The setting is modern fantasy, where houses are built into nature and phones and potions exist alongside each other. There's also a quest and rewards system!
Noctis has been dealing with the loss of his magic but the re-appearance of his father and Lunafreya. Meanwhile his father is reconnecting with his old friend Cor and bonding with his son and his young friends. Ignis is learning how to utilize cognitive magic and worried about the effects it could have, Prompto is learning alchemy and may crash the economy with it, and Lunafreya is learning the court and using her new healing magic.
Also Cor has a couerl. You know you wanna see that.

[game info]: Deerington is a horror jamjar set in a small town in Maine. We have monthly events with different flavors of horror each time, with the freedom to be dive headfirst into the metaplot or just play around in the horror sandbox. The cast is currently recovering from a very rough October while dealing with the fact that Bill has just shown up, so it's a great opportunity for both friendly and not-so-friendly faces to make an appearance!

[game info]: Erku is a sandboxy kink bingo game where characters have to fill in bingo squares to help build the island around them. It's a pretty low-stakes, choose your own adventure sort of game and is very chill overall. Reserves/apps just closed, but the TDM is still going and apps & reserves are open every month. I only just apped Barret there so he's still adjusting to everything, but he (and I!) would be really happy to see some friendly faces.
