FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

Duplicity is a sex game (but sex is not required for AC) that (can) explore darker aspects of a character's personality and desires in a city that automatically sorts new arrivals into a caste system. Dominants live in the Up, the nicer part of the city, while Submissives are housed in the Down, the city's dark underbelly.

AC requirements are any two of the following: 5 log comments from your character, an open network log or post from your character, 10 network comments from your character, or 15 private inbox comments from your character, and TDM threads can be used!

[game info]: Duplicity is a panfandom dystopian sex game that centers around negative traits and the outcome of succumbing to darker urges. Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on horror, science fiction, exploration, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed. Characters are assigned to be either Dominants or Submissives.

The Up part of the city is the lap of luxury where Dominants reside in their own extravagant apartments and have many opportunities and freedoms to pursue their favored lifestyle. Whereas the Down is home to Submissives who live in communal housing amidst crime and poverty, with very limited freedom or rights. Both roles are encouraged to form a mutual contract with each other, which allows a Submissive plenty more freedoms when assigned to a Dominant and access to the Up. Contracts do not need to be sexual in nature in order to be formed.

Ellie is a content warning all by herself due to her canon point. She's adapting to the city life of Duplicity and is currently contracted. On a personal note I haven't done or seen any of the actual gameplay of tlou2 yet, though I do plan to play the game. I'm still happy to play canonblind off the new characters in the interim! [game info]: Tabula Rasa was originally set in a world that was nothing but... well, nothing. Basically, it's shaped by what the characters themselves add to it, which means we have everything from Persona 5's Mementos to Moomba-Smeargle hybrids. I'd say it's mostly a SoL game with other aspects that tend to be introduced by events, and a lot of players who are really involved and love to build their own events and plots too. As a result of the world not really getting stuff, powers are nerfed, but with the imprint system we have, are able to be re-introduced. At the moment, for example, magic is on its way, and the beginnings of a telepathic network have just been introduced as a result.

AC is two threads of five comments, with bonuses for extra activity. It is a capped game, but we currently have a few spots available!

TR is a slow-paced sandbox sort of game set in The Void where characters' arrival adds more locations and concepts to the setting. The FAQ explains it better than I do - everyone's powers are nerfed at the beginning, but we've gotten some mana regains so magic will hopefully appear soon. The monthly events include exploring new concepts or places dropped into the setting, or seasonal stuff (we had a Christmas party last month).

It's very freeform and SoL in a surreal way, though there have been horror-ish events before so there's still potential for heavier things. The AC is 2 threads of 5 comments a month, and new player apps are open right now!

[game info]: Kink bingo. There’s not a whole lot more, but in a way there is. Erku is set on an island with little going on other than the ruins of a city and the remnants of a culture long gone. Characters are able to bring things back to the island through “Auspicious acts” which is basically filling out their bingo cards through the power of smut. Strives have been made and quality of life has gone up.

There are also monsters and forests and mountains to explore for those so inclined. Monsters from one’s homeworld can show up as well if requested.

Forgotten Tales is a small (semi) invite only pan-fandom fairytale game where characters are given the "essence" of a storybook (or old school comic) character and given powers as well as characteristics of said character. Characters are pulled into stories and have to act out scenes in order to save story worlds. Though there is down-time inbetween campaigns.

While it's usually needs an invite, there are times where Public Registration opens. The next time it opens is March 10th while the new TDM/Claims page opens on the 3rd.

AC is either check-in if no campaign is going on, or it's just one proof or expression of interest if a campaign is running.

[game info]: Scorpia and Catra have been left alone in the world of Pokemon without supervision. Scorpia got drafted into Team Rocket, because of course she did. She's mostly just making cute Rocket badges for people's Pokemon, but sometimes you get dragged into stealing Christmas or robbing a bank, as one does. ~~Santa sent her coal and said he was disappointed and Scorpia was crushed~~ She's having lots of fun naming her Pokemon after all her friends from home! She'd love to introduce little Perfuma the Bellossom to her namesake!

Catra, on the other hand, is working on discovering the horrible secret agenda that the cutesy Pokemon world is a front for (which doesn't exist, but don't tell her that). And may or may not be on her way to a collection of every cat Pokemon in existence.

And hey, sometimes everybody gets all their powers back for a weekend and there's random teleporting and chaos. (Not having her pincers and tail is Scorpia's only complaint.)

Except for regular canon 4th wall weekends, VR is a power loss game, but it makes up for it with cute Pokemon to collect? On the slice of life side of the spectrum, but there are regular events to spice things up and player plots too. Apps are always open (and processed every Sunday) and the current TDM thread is here

[game info]: P90 is a small invite-only panfandom jamjar game in a post-apocalyptic setting loosely based on the novel The Gone-Away World. Characters are picked up by the corporation Jorgmund and "hired" to help them make the world habitable again (with the help of implanted shock collars to keep everyone in line). Plot range in tone and there are often multiple options of missions going on, and the overall game OOC mood is very chill and lighthearted. We're a friendly bunch!! Hit me up if you wanna know more! [game info]: The game takes place in the ever-changing landscape known currently as the Void. The alterations to the settings are drawn directly from the contributions of the players in the game as they imprint locations, species, and concepts from their character's canon or frame of reference. Oftentimes these ideas get mashed together making something new and unique. An example would be Chocobos (from Final Fantasy) and Blurgs (Star Wars) which were combined into one monster. This is not limited to species.

I would say the game is on the slow to medium range, it has some slice of life elements interspersed with more serious events. The activity is two threads of 5 comments each, with bonuses if you want to accumulate more in game points for imprints.

[game info]: (main navigation) TR is a pretty small easygoing sandboxy game with no overarching plot, however the way the world builds itself based on concepts drawn from the characters' worlds and actions leads to plenty of shenanigans and possibility for shaping the way things go in the future. The game started as a blank slate and uses an "imprint" system to shape the world and the concepts that define it, though imprints often get mashed together or otherwise mangled by the void not fully understanding how things work, which can lead to both hilarity and trauma. Nugs got mashed up with chickens and it's beautiful.

Cole's been a lone canon warrior from the start, though I've kept his world state vague (aside from being from an In Hushed Whispers route) in case an Inquisitor/other castmates were to app in the future.

[game info]: Aefenglom is a fantasy adventure game set in a Victorian-ish magitech setting, where characters are turned on arrival into either Witches (able to use the world's magic) or Monsters (turned into something else and stabilised by feeding on magic). As characters manage to slowly push back at the Cwyld, a magical infection that's consumed most of the lands outside of the main city of Aefenglom, they discover other locations that have held out against the infection and make more progress towards finding ways to cure and treat it. While also occasionally dealing with attacks and general assholery from local evil folks and so on.
