you don't know how glad i am to hear that! it happens to be one of my all-time favorites, so i hope you enjoy the anime, especially since i know it's one of the lengthier shonen series out there. gon's a perfect character for light-hearted adventures and team fights/sparring in general, so you're right on the mark! i don't want to spoil you for later arcs, but he definitely gets his fair share of character growth later on down the line.

regrettably, i'm mostly canon-blind to dragon ball since i've only watched eps in passing back when they aired in early 2000s-era toonami, but i hope this doesn't deter you. is there any idea you're leaning more toward than the other? as far as memes go, if you dropped a toplevel here for ex, i'd be more than happy to tag you with a starter there!
