Okay, so, full disclosure, I am a terrible person and I'm really not sure if this game would be at all your cup of tea or a good fit for him, but I play Yang over at cosmographia and let me tell you, Adam Taurus showing up over there would be hilarious. 8'D
The game fits nearly all of your preferences: DW-based, small/medium size and a slow/medium pace and very backtag-friendly with an easy (and varied) AC. It's inspired by the Steven Universe canon but no prior knowledge of that canon is needed since it's a completely different city and plot. Characters drop in through a suspicious looking hole and find themselves in a mysterious Temple. They've also been transformed into magical Gems and are tasked with protecting the Temple, nearby town, and citizens from monsters. While there are a lot of Slice-of-Life aspects, there is an over-arching plot and mod events every other month (with player plots encouraged). The game's FAQ is right here if you want to get a more in-depth look. There is some initial power nerfing/item loss when characters first arrive but these can be regained through event participation, and all characters start out with one unique "Gem power" which can be inspired by a canon power of theirs or something completely random, as well as a basic, personalized Gem weapon.
The game's current test drive can be found here if you want to check it out and I think, but don't quote me on this, that we may be having our first 4th Wall Event sometime this month. My Yang is pre-V3 (for the time being) and currently a lone canon warrior but we did have a Blake in-game previously for awhile and the two of them were very obviously dating at one point, so, you know that'd be a laugh and a half for everyone involved.
