There was a game that ran from 2008 to 2012 and died a few months after the transfer to DW, called Transmigration9 - It was a plot based game where characters would wake up from a deep sleep on a giant alien colony ship as the last survivors of their world. Dropped characters would fall asleep again, newly apped characters would be more people waking from the vast sleeping pod area. It centered on characters trying to explore the giant colony ship and progressively reclaim parts of it, solve the mystery of what happened to their worlds and why they were scooped up, and generally struggling with the slightly sinister AI that set the course of the ship and would issue commands to the crew, such as organizing field missions on planets the ship stopped at to go down and achieve certain goals.
The general idea was that everyone there was involved in a huge, overarching galactic or universe sized plot against a threat that required such a wide array of characters. It avoided the typical static behavior of jamjars and dodged questions like 'why are these geniuses and ultra powered super heroes just accepting their situation and not trying to escape (or failing to if they try)'
It's still one of my favorite game concepts, and I've rarely seen anything like it except short-lived games designed to be short-lived. So my question is: would people want to remake that? Without the original mods, unless those are lurking around and feeling nostalgic, but since nobody knows the original answers to all the mysteries we can just make up new answers instead and the game should still function just fine.
