someone i know on plurk used to play miwako many years ago and has teased me with the suggestion of picking up caroline or arashi here off-and-on... maybe your George will tempt her into apping eventually. I've played Miwako for many years and I've had a cast once, like, over a decade ago, when we were all still on LJ! That's where I found all those icons. Other than that, Miwako has ALWAYS been a lone canon warrior. Returning to rp as an adult and bringing her to life in a new light, I'd be over the moon even if it's just Miwako and George forever. But despite being unpopular, ParaKiss is well-loved, I feel, so I think we'll quickly tempt people in with our beautiful icons, stellar writing skills, and passion for fashion rofl...... ;v
i am even more stoked to reread the manga now!! it really is just so perfectly executed. Yazawa Ai is a genius. can i ask, have you read/watched Gokinjo Monogatari? it's not so relevant to George as it is to Miwako obvs but just curious!!
And dude yes George's familiar beautiful face will be more than welcome IC, a sight for sore eyes indeed. Miwako takes backseat to Zuko cuz Zuko's coming with CRAU from Prismatica that closed last year (that's how Avalon came to be, actually, borne from the Prisma Exodus lol), so he like already had all his friends from home and CR from Prisma and he's super famous ooc, everyone loves the zucchini, so his CR is just like poppin all the goddamn time and he's a big ol drama queen who eats up all my emotional writerly spoons rofl, so poor Miwako has had to sit in the backseat with a far more stagnant inbox... so while she's got some pretty good CR here (l m a o, she has like no girl friends minus Alice, all her CR is with handsome men who are hosts, idols, actors, musicians, etc, and then like two fucking famous samurai friends rofl, like she's dreaming of the day she can tell Arashi she's best buddies with Oda Nobunaga and they bonded over konpeito, he won't believe her rofl!!!) she's not as active as Zuko and I wanna change that. She's canonically shown in the special epilogue chapter of Gokinjo Monogatari to be not great at making friends and historically bullied for being an oddball, so I'm kinda leaning into that as an explanation for her relative solitude, paired with her loneliness being alone for really the first time in her life... She's really struggling with being spirited away and living alone and being single and lonesome. She just works and sews and works some more. She has two different jobs as a shopkeeper at clothing stores, plus helping an old NPC tailor who's given her access to his equipment in exchange as needed, so that she can save up money for buying fabrics (and clothes for herself). She's rented her own atelier space finally, having only recently saved up enough money for it (tryna be realistic too, right, not just excusing my poor activity lol), so she's busy decking that out, beautiful decorations. But like... she really is alone a lot. That's the hardest part for her. So lately I've also written that she's started drinking alone more and has been regularly going to a karaoke bar her idol friend owns as a solo cathartic musical therapy. Now that she's taken Alice as a ward, though, she's gonna have to get her act together and stop drunk crying herself to sleep alone in her bedroom cuddling her unwilling familiar lol. poor miwa.
It'll be so exciting and mind-blowing for her that she'll be able to teach George about sewing...! She knows how to use magic well with it now and can teach him tricks to make garments self-fitting etc! and being creative with other people is more inspiring anyway too...!! so even if George puts her to work on his stuff, it'll inspire her for her own stuff even more. When Hamada-sensei said that Miwako's unoriginal and her designs just naturally look like copycats of Mikako's because she idolizes her too much and her style has been saturated in Happy Berry all her life, I took that ball and fucking ran with it, rofl, so rn basically most of the designs I've collected for her portfolio examples are just minor outfits seen in Gokinjo Monogatari LOL... pulled straight from it, shamelessly! I'm tryna find a good code I like so I can have a gallery post in her journal of her creations. I figure next I'll... gank clothing from NANA, too, lol. Miwako's easy. :| George's designs will put you to task as a writer, too, ahaha~ everyone works for him, even ooc!
