August EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. [game info]: Yogen is a mystery-horror game set in a spooky Japanese high school, where all the characters are currently stuck inside the school and forced to attend classes like normal highschoolers, except the school also encourages students to murder each other. You know, normal highschool stuff!!!! It has some "murdergame elements" which is to say sometimes murders happen and everyone gets to investigate to figure out whodunnit, but there aren't any hard deadlines so it's way more chill than like. the standard murdergame format where everything happens in one weekend.
I'd call the game medium-fast paced depending on how involved in the plot you want to be, and the AC is 20 comments (or 10 comments and an open toplevel/post), which can be a bit intimidating! but as a usually-slow tagger myself I've had no trouble at all keeping up, so idk if you think the game looks fun I'd say give it a shot if the AC is the only dealbreaker for you personally. but like if you're still not interested... we're open to PSL shit too just sayin'...
Yogen is a player-capped game, BUT there are currently a few slots open!! and there's a queue in place for when it does fill up so you can still apply at any time huzzah.

All downtime between missions/plots are on a space station run by an AI named Viveca, and we've just wrapped our first mission! Which has been a great deal of fun!
Yzak is, of course, serious mission man ready to do the work needed for his own regret, adapting to all of the cool and different people on his team (since it's his team! And his team!! Is important!) I've got tons of plans for him (he's gonna learn magic oh god) with all the excitement for them, and some amazing cross-canon CR as we've got such a fantastic spread of characters! Would love castmates for even MORE plans! Especially his best boy because Yzak is not whole without Dearka there beside him (I also have icons for you). [game info]: Avalon is a fantasy panfandom RP where… frankly a bunch of knights decide it’s a great idea to blow up the multiverse with Excalibur and a Hadron collider. (Thanks, guys…) So now time has been frozen everywhere but the Isle of Avalon, and people are being brought to a modern Camelot from across the multiverse in order to replenish the world's magic and repair the damage.
Canon powers are nerfed, but characters are bonded to a familiar upon arrival and given access to different categories of magic, up to two per character! This means you can mimic canon powers with the right combination, or explore something totally new! There are no cast limits, which is a blessing in a huge canon like ours. While the game is very big and welcoming and there are monthly events, the chill AC of one five-comment thread per month makes it very easy to play the game at your pace and customize your slice-of-life/adventure balance. For those who like playing more actively, there’s an overarching storyline with lots of emphasis on player choice and influence, and a blessedly simple reward system and a Quest Board which counts towards earning titles!

Isle of Avalon is described as a modern day Arthurian-revival panfandom RP. Set in New Camelot, each character is paired with a familiar and can learn two different types of magic. Della Duck is struggling with having shadow magic like Magica, Fenton is working on a science-oriented Youtube series, and Drake is trying to continue his crimefighting career in Camelot while coming to terms with Gizmoduck's supposed identity, while Gandra has just now arrived and is dealing with everyone knowing about her FOWL associations. Ximilia is a panfandom, mission-based, character-driven sci-fi game that blends different genres. The characters wake up on a space station that serves as their home base, from where they are transported to different planets to recover one of the orbs that will eventually power their wishes to undo their regrets. On each planet, the characters will be given a mission that they all have to fulfill if they want the orb to eventually lend them its power, as well as personal goals that will test their loyalty, morality and ethics, as they have to balance their own progress on undoing their regret against the overall mission, against what they believe is right, and perhaps against other characters in the game.
We have just wrapped up out first major mission, in which we cured a plague turning innocent people into monsters (some of our characters among them!), uncovered the government conspiracy behind it, brought the rulers of the city to justice and recovered our first orb. The mission spanned nearly two months OOC and allowed for creative player input, and for player actions to influence the overall progress and outcome of the mission. Our MCU cast is currently dealing with the fallout of some secrets, traumas and weaknesses of one another being revealed, as well as the overall mission outcome during the well-deserved IC downtime.
The game has a relaxed AC of 10 comments across 2 - 4 threads per month. The pace is relaxed but active, with people happy to backtag and the missions designed to allow breathing room and different levels of involvement. This also means we have a great blend of Mod Plots, Player Plots/Initiatives and a touch of space station life in downtime.

[game info]: Noctium is a slice-of-life sex-positive game where characters get assigned a specific gem of their choosing. Each gem corresponds to certain traits (which are heightened during events) and these gems also allow for monster transformations. There are AC rewards that can be purchased from extra threads! It's a pretty laid back and chill game if you want easy AC (5 network comments or 3 log comments) and to enjoy crazy shenanigans this is a good place to try out! It tends to be busy when events first get announced but activity tapers off after a few days. Backtag friendly and lots of promise for crosscanon CR, it's a nice place for people just getting back into RP!

On arrival, characters are "bonded" to one of four Cardinal Gems and gain new abilities accordingly, but the fifth Cardinal Gem, Malachite, also causes them to transform into various monsters based on their bonded Gem for a week each month. Events usually have a focus on CR building, temporary setting changes, or travelling to new parts of the setting, but action/mystery events also come up every so often too.

Currently the two of us in the cast play from the end of the manga, but we'd appreciate seeing either manga or anime players in the game.
[game info]: Noctium is a large, sex-friendly jamjar game that takes place on a planet of aliens based around gems! Canon characters find themselves with one of four gems somewhere on their body, and with that gem comes physical/magical/behavioral changes. You can go as light or as hard in the transformation aspects of the game based on personal preference.
Although the game is huge and a lot of events have smutty options, it's a game where you can carve out your own space & explore how your characters will fit in with this new world and setting. Since it's a mix of slice of life & strange scenarios which can influence a character's body & behavior, it's a great fit for Beastars characters. Especially if you're looking to throw them into a completely new setting with different species and social expectations!

[game info]: Atlas Online is set on a hostile alien planet characters were pulled onto via portal. They are researchers in the colony and must work together to restore the tech, figure out how to get home, and uncover some secrets, including what happened to the previous researchers, and what is up with the abandoned space station in orbit around the planet.
Characters get sorted into teams by the mods - I was pleasantly surprised with where Katrina wound up! Characters also get an IC assessment by one of the AIs in game. Katrina's was lowkey a callout, I absolutely love it. There's a recommended actions part to it that I'm using to get Katrina interacting more than she would prefer.
Reserves open on the 18th!
This month's TDM is up,and I know plenty of us are hoping to see more toplevels so we can tag in!
The game just opened this month, and so far, the player base is very friendly, and the mods very responsive. For Katrina, sirens would be especially great, since the show didn't do as much with their relationships as I would've liked to see. But tbh anyone from Siren would be A+, for all that this is the longest of long shots!

[game info]: Isle of Avalon is a panfandom game where your character is paired with a familiar to restore magic to save the multiverse. Basically, a bunch of people looked on the internet and didn't like what they found so they decided to stop all the bad in the universe. Because the internet is oh-so-helpful, they also find a means to do it; which involves the sword Excalibur. Apparently they didn't read the directions well because they end up creating a black hole that shreds the fabric of reality and dooms all the worlds.
The only one that has magic left is Avalon, where Excalibur was made. Everywhere else is frozen in time and the magic that is holding that freeze is running out. You have to restore it before it's too late.

[game info]: Songerein is a panfandom RP small game that takes aspects of previously closed games (Somarium, Empatheias, and Forgotten Tales) to create a world of dreams and fairy tales. It plans to focus on world building, where player and character actions will decide what is brought into Songerein. Currently the game isn't open until Sept 1st, but a Test Drive will go up on Aug 18th. I'm also one of the helper mods, so I'll be happy to answer any questions people may have.
