November EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. [game info]: Erku is world-building kink bingo game. By filling out one's bingo card one can request different items, abilities, and infrastructure to the world! The setting is open enough to more or less do what you like, with creative and fun events when you choose to engage.
Right now the world is split between a simulated world that seems to be fantasy village and a physical one that is high tech.
AC is a simple 5 log comments or 10 network comments. There is no smut AC requirement.

[game info]: The Super Pal Trio (possibly to be renamed) is missing their third member, the quirky tech princess who deserves a lot more screentime than she got. Also a lot more love! Both Catra and Scorpia are CRAU from the first Deer (Deerington), but it shouldn't alter any dynamic with potential castmates. Deer Country relies heavily on Bloodborne themes, setting up for either canon powers, in-house blood powers, or a combo between them. The tech is strange and unusual, possibly quite interesting to those technologically inclined.
While this ad does focus on Entrapta, I would be over the moon for other interested castmates as well.

[game info]: Premise link here but to summarize: Deer Country is a horror game that draws inspiration from games like Bloodborne & Dark Souls, as well as the works of authors like Steven King & Junji Ito. It covers a wide breadth or horror themes with a heavy focus on psychological and body horror.
Much of the world's magic and lore is centered around a Blood System, and instead of a specific overarching plot the game is centered on worldbuilding and character relationships/dynamics, which is honestly the perfect set up for characters from a canon like Beastars. There are events and scenarios every month, and a monthly calendar that outlines environmental changes and certain effects some blood types might experience during that month, so there's always something to do.
But, like, TL;DR, the game can use more furries so please come on over if this sounds like the game for you! We'd love to have you.

Due to the in-game death mechanic surrounding dropped characters, our mod would need to be contacted if you wanted to app one of the following: Naegi Makoto, Kirigiri Kyouko, Fujisaki Chihiro, Nanami Chiaki, Akamatsu Kaede, Ouma Kokichi, Saihara Shuuichi (appable after November 28th), and Tanaka Gundam (appable after December 10)
[game info]: Yogen is a horror game set in a high school, in which characters wake up suddenly as students of the school, spending their first days drifting between their school life memories and canon memories until they finally "wake up" and realize something isn't quite right here. Currently everyone is trapped inside of the school, so they're trying to uncover the mysteries of Yogen while also figuring out how they can get home. There are some investigative elements during events that feel a little reminiscent of murdergames, strange supernatural things at work like a black hole-like void that shadow people are tossing bodies into, and silly things like player run slumber parties + King's Game where everyone gets to relax for a bit. If you like horror games, it's a good mix and a lot of fun!
Yogen is a capped game, but right now we have six slots open (24/30)! However, even if we should reach cap, new apps will go into a queue and should a new space open up, you will have the choice of being contacted or accepted immediately. Right now we also have a chill cultural festival event doubling as a TDM, so feel free to come give us a try!

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game with a particular focus on Lovecraftian horror where characters are brought to a city called Trench. One of the unique aspects of the game is that characters are given a new sense of purpose and aren't filled with a desire to return home, instead attempting to make new lives in this new world, while finding a way to deal with the everyday horrors that they're exposed to.
There's a blood-based magic system where characters can gain powers based off the different types of blood that they have, with opportunities for non-powered characters to gain powers, although there's also an option for characters to be given no powers if desired. There are events and other things going on every month with plenty to do - the FAQ is here, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have and help with TDM threads or whatever else you might need!

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game set in the city of Trench. Characters are brought in with changes to their blood and blood magic, and help with or add to the constant corruption in the city. Events run monthly and the TDMs are usually a prelude to what happens during the month. There are also some effects on the characters that players can play around or opt-out of, a huge setting to explore, open a business, etc.
AC is 2 proofs of 5 log comments or 10 network comments, but we're backtag-friendly and the game is very crosscanon-friendly, too. [game info]: Deer Country is the sequel game to Deerington, but you don't need to have been in the original to have a good time here (Ryan wasn't!). It's a game that's very bloodborne in its themes and aesthetic and characters can either keep their canon powers or acquire new ones in game. Ryan in particular is a paleblood, which means his powers are all telepathic/empathy/hallucination based. Also, the game is framed as though this new world is where the characters are supposed to be, so it doesn't feel quite as jamjar-y - they are where they're supposed to be.
As for cast stuff, Ryan has been settling in nicely but he misses Min-Gi terribly and has been stressing a lot about the fact that he got there first, as though he rushed ahead of him again. Not everything is bad though! He has a standing gig a a local theater, and this will happily turn into a standing Chicken Choice Judy gig if we get a Min-Gi. Also the world is more queer-friendly than the 1980s and his new cross-canon BFFs are basically a married couple so he's definitely been feeling a little lonely. Also he's a disaster on his own; please come save him from himself.

The game is large and rather fast paced, but AC is only 5 comments and there is no shortage of options for things to do. There are quests, one event a month, and plenty of opportunity to explore things at your own pace. Characters are also given a familiar and new magic powers to play with.

It's a [murder] mystery/horror game set in a high school, where characters come in with awareness and a second set of memories for their evident school lives alongside their canon memories. The game does have pseudo-murdergame elements, but without the short timeline that those tend to entail.
Applications are on a rolling basis and there is a player cap of 30 people, but we do have a few spots open currently! AC is 20 comments over 2-3 threads (or 10 comments and an open toplevel/post,) but it's relatively easy to meet all things considered. There is a test drive meme here if you want to try it out!

Duplicity is a slightly dark-leaning sex game, wherein upon entry all characters are assigned a designation -- either Dominant or submissive -- and must assimilate within those roles, as defined by the city's particular class system and how society treats either one.
To be more specific, the game's overall themes obviously revolve heavily around D/s and adjacent dynamics, but there are often themes of brainwashing, torture, humiliation, dub- and/or noncon as well, in addition to kinks of all varieties being highlighted or encouraged during events, which are monthly and usually involve 3-5 themed prompts with a variety of different kinks for each. In general there are (usually) various incentives for characters to participate in things they might not normally, be those incentives be rewards, punishments, or aphrodisiacs that give them that "push."
Dominants and submissives must pair up for "contracts" (a Dominant may have multiple submissives, but a submissive may only have one Dominant), which effectively give the Dominants ownership and responsibility over their submissives for a period of 3 months, at which point they can renew it, or let the contract lapse and find new arrangements. All characters have a monthly quota of needing to engage in at least three (3) sex acts (which can be anything from voyeurism to mutual masturbation to traditional penetrative sex to, well, anything else) but threading out smut is not a requirement, for AC as well as in general.

The setting has historically been very mecha pilot friendly! Pilots get to keep their mechs and can use them outside of the city, or simulate mech battles in AR. The pace of the game is very chill, with easy AC. Smut is not required for AC, so you can take things at your own pace. TDMs go up on or around the 18th!

I'd absolutely love some of Kiryu's friends (Akiyama, Saejima, Majima, Haruka, Date, Watase, Kashiwagi, Daigo, etc.) but any of the villains would be 100% fantastic (Ryuji!!!, Nishiki, Someya, Mine, Kurosawa, any of the Y0s) and he's been through Y7 so any of the Y:LAD folks would be fantastic as well!

More specifically, this is an in-depth CR game with a contained but varied setting, monthly events that range from weirdness to full on AUs, that's great for crosscanon CR and kind to smaller canons. It's more rehabilitation then (small p here) penance and all characters suffer together through whatever wildness comes their way. We're active as heck (most posts get upwards of 50 comments easily) and people here really love meaty relationships, delving deep into characters, and seeing what happens. If you want a game that's going to challenge your character's heart, mind, ethics, and beliefs a lot? (Also just plain ol' fuck with them?) This is a great game.
We're kicking into some metaplot at the moment, but even then, there's plenty of space for slice of life and plenty of violent jerks for a little action or mystery. Apps are always open and we have a similarly always open TDM post for anyone interested. Also the second I see someone on the TDM I will send this dork there immediately so let me know if I miss it!

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game. It is the second chapter of Deerington BUT you don't need ANY info or need to have even played in the prior game! It is pan-fandom medium-fast-paced game with monthly mod-designed events. There is no "core story." The game is more focused on worldbuilding/community building. Deer Country is an intense horror game with heavy inspiration from Bloodborne, Dark Souls, H.P Lovecraft, Stephen King, and Junji Ito.

[game info]: Noctium is a sex positive (but not required) jamjar game that takes place on a planet run by gem people! Everyone who arrives becomes a "gembonded" and a gem appears on their body. Their personality and body may be affected at certain points during the month, but it is up to the player how much they are affected by it! It's a good mix of SoL and adventure! It's also very easy AC, and there are monthly events and a very active player base to play with and enjoy!
