December EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Pace is medium, with mods seeming to alternate the intensity of events and LOTS of wiggle room for player plots. The game is a good fit for characters who are willing to invest their time and energy in the world, and players who are just as excited to plan and pursue their own character's development as they are the plot beats provided by mods.
The game is capped, but mods announced potentially raising the game's player cap! Apps are judged based on the character's suitability for the game and their potential to participate in the plot, which I feel LoZ characters have in abundance. For example: diplomacy, exploration, research, an underwater city...

[game info]: Yogen is the spiritual successor to Inugami for those who remember it! It's a [murder] mystery/horror game set in a high school, where characters come in with awareness and a second set of memories for their evident school lives alongside their canon memories. The game does have pseudo-murdergame elements, but without the short timeline that those tend to entail.
Applications are on a rolling basis and there is a player cap of 30 people, but we do have a few spots open currently! AC is 20 comments over 2-3 threads (or 10 comments and an open toplevel/post,) but it's relatively easy to meet all things considered. There is a test drive meme here if you want to try it out!

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game where characters must try and make a new life in the world they've found themselves in, while surviving and dealing with the various horrors of the setting - there's a lot of Lovecraftian themes in particular, but many different kinds of horror are explored, and there's always plenty to do! Characters can be given powers through the Blood System, though there's also an option for them to remain without powers if you prefer. Events are monthly, and the AC is also pretty easy to meet as well!

Overall, the game is medium-slow paced, with a lot of room for player plots and setting engagement. You can read some of the character actions here in the latest state of the game. The conflict among factions is largely centered around the Singularity, the source of magic for this world and all others. One faction wants to harness it, one faction wants to destroy it, and one faction thinks those other two factions are nuts for wanting to mess with it at all.
Currently there is a player cap of 50 players and a cast cap of 5 but the mods have expressed potentially increasing them. Apps are also closed until the new year, but let me know if you want to try anyone out on the most recent TDM

It's a survival game with missions and rewards that help drive the plot, but characters are very able to enjoy a more slice-of-life style of roleplay, and use plot-devices of the game to drive character development.
The pace is medium-to-slow, which is great for people with jobs or disabilities that make tagging rapidly difficult, but if you are a fast tagger, there's no issues with such.

Ekko needs someone who knows how to loc hair. Lookin at u, Mel. He also needs someone who can actually maneuver a forge and help craft raw materials for him to tinker with *cough*jayce*cough*. The characters have to go on a magical quest in a patchwork land with sections of displaced fantasy worlds. The game world and other worlds connected to is at risk of a terrible fate. [game info]: The Isle of Avalon is a pan-fandom RP game within a modern-day Arthurian legend setting. Time is frozen in all of the universes except for Camelot, where magic seems to keep the time suspension at bay. Characters are given a familiar and expected to utilize their new magical abilities to aid King Arthur in unfreezing time.
There are monthly events and optional side quests so characters can attain different statuses like Knight, Noble, Arcane Mage, and Unseelie. The titles now come with extra perks, too! AC is easy, only requiring a thread of five comments or more. There are also AC Rewards to get different special items, spells, and potions. The pacing of the game is medium and a lot of people are very backlog-friendly.
Apps are currently open until the 14th but will reopen again next month from the 7th to the 14th. There's a monthly TDM that's posted at the beginning of the month as well. Come join us!

My own personal bias also would include other SDR2s (especially Nanami and Kuzuryuu) and other protags (especially Naegi). Due to the in-game death mechanic surrounding dropped characters, our mod would need to be contacted if you wanted to app one of the following: Naegi Makoto, Kirigiri Kyouko, Fujisaki Chihiro, Nanami Chiaki, Akamatsu Kaede, Ouma Kokichi, Saihara Shuuichi, and Tanaka Gundam.
[game info]: Yogen is a horror game set in a high school, in which characters wake up suddenly as students of the school, spending their first days drifting between their school life memories and canon memories until they finally "wake up" and realize something isn't quite right here. Currently everyone is trapped inside of the school, so they're trying to uncover the mysteries of Yogen while also figuring out how they can get home. There are some investigative elements during events that feel a little reminiscent of murdergames, strange supernatural things at work like a black hole-like void that shadow people are tossing bodies into, and silly things like player run slumber parties + King's Game where everyone gets to relax for a bit. If you like horror games, it's a good mix and a lot of fun!
Yogen is a capped game, but right now we have two slots open (28/30)! Even if we reach cap, new apps will go into a queue and should a new space open up, you will have the choice of being contacted or accepted immediately. As we did last month, right now we have our monthly event doubling as a TDM, so feel free to come give us a try!

[game info]: Avalon's premise entails characters getting pulled into the setting (the wondrous island of Arthurian lore) along with an assigned familiar (a mystical being from their canon or from general folklore) to help resolve the calamity that froze the rest of the multiverse. Besides each character gets assigned two types of magic (scroll down a bit in this section of the FAQ for available options).
It's a medium-pace game with very light AC (only 5 successive comments per month). Activities each month include a TDM on the 1st, accompanied by an assortment of quests (ranging from cute fluff, like finding a missing pet rabbit, to dark stuff like assassination requests or questionable rituals), though which characters can attain "light"- or "dark"-aligned titles, and an event on the 16th. The general focus is on adventuring with equal opportunities for silliness, angst and action/battles.

Yogen is a horror game set in a high school, in which characters wake up suddenly as students of the school, spending their first days drifting between their school life memories and canon memories until they finally "wake up" and realize something isn't quite right here. Currently everyone is trapped inside of the school, so they're trying to uncover the mysteries of Yogen while also figuring out how they can get home. There are some investigative elements during events that feel a little reminiscent of murdergames, strange supernatural things at work like a black hole-like void that shadow people are tossing bodies into, and silly things like player run slumber parties + King's Game where everyone gets to relax for a bit. If you like horror games, it's a good mix and a lot of fun!
Yogen is a capped game, but right now we have two slots open (28/30)! Even if we reach cap, new apps will go into a queue and should a new space open up, you will have the choice of being contacted or accepted immediately. As we did last month, right now we have our monthly event doubling as a TDM, so feel free to come give us a try!
As a note: though all three of us currently play from !!-era Enstars, if you'd prefer to play from !-era, that's perfectly fine! It can be difficult to find translations since the incident; we understand.
