FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

[game info]: Mission-based game where characters aim to complete goals in order to undo a regret of theirs. Each mission takes place in a different world, so the setting is varied, and the different mission types and locations mean different characters all have possible opportunities to shine. The overall vibe among the characters is pro-teamwork, and there's a lot of opportunity for character building and arcs of all sorts since often the goals they have to complete might be things that force them out of their comfort zone or challenge their moral code. The mods do an amazing job of providing a ton of opportunities for characters to get personally involved and contribute to the missions!

There's no recent TDM at the moment due to the mission schedule, but I expect there will be a new one within the next month or two. Until then, the fall TDM is here and I'd be happy to tag on that if anyone wants to use it to check the game out!

[wanted]: Obviously I'm partial to BotW/AoC characters...! (Zelda, Sidon, Impa, the Champions...) but any LoZ character would be a good fit.
[game info]: "Abraxas is a dark fantasy panfandom game with elements of horror, war, and political intrigue. Character actions will have a heavy impact on the game's overall plot, and there will be many opportunities for individual characters to grow, change, and make their mark on this world, for better or for worse." Pace is medium, with mods seeming to alternate the intensity of events and LOTS of wiggle room for player plots. The game is a good fit for characters who are willing to invest their time and energy in the world, and players who are just as excited to plan and pursue their own character's development as they are the plot beats provided by mods.

The game is capped, but mods announced potentially raising the game's player cap! Apps are judged based on the character's suitability for the game and their potential to participate in the plot, which I feel LoZ characters have in abundance. For example: diplomacy, exploration, research, an underwater city...

The next app round should be open in Feb!

[wanted]: Anyone! Personally, I'd love to see the other Floormasters (Gashu, Midori, Miley, Safalin) but any of the other participants or dummies (would be great.
[game info]: Yogen is a horror game set in a high school, in which characters wake up suddenly as students of the school, spending their first days drifting between their school life memories and canon memories until they finally "wake up" and realize something isn't quite right here. Currently everyone is trapped inside of the school, so they're trying to uncover the mysteries of Yogen while also figuring out how they can get home.

Applications are on a rolling basis and there is a player cap of 30 people, but we do have a few spots open currently! AC is 20 comments over 2-3 threads (or 10 comments and an open toplevel/post,) but it's relatively easy to meet all things considered. There is a test drive meme here if you want to try it out! Apps will close at the end of January, but reopen in April.

I'm also willing to make icons for anyone who needs them!

[game info]: Duplicity is a panfandom sex game that centers around negative traits and the outcome of succumbing to darker urges. Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on horror, science fiction, exploration, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed. AC is very manageable (smut threads are not an AC requirement!) and the game moves at a solid pace, not too fast and not too slow - it's pretty large, but in my experience not overwhelming. There's a new TDM due to be posted today on

duplicitymemes, reserves open on 12 January and apps open on 16 January! Come join us please, the Black Sails gang are a fun cast and we would love to have you!

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game where characters must try and make a new life in the world they've found themselves in, while surviving and dealing with the various horrors of the setting - there's a lot of Lovecraftian themes in particular, though many different kinds of horror are explored, and there's always plenty to do! Characters can be given powers through the Blood System, though there's also an option for them to remain without powers if you prefer. Events are monthly, and the AC is also pretty easy to meet as well!

[game info]: Victory Road is a long-running jamjar set in the world of Pokémon, specifically the regions of Johto, Kanto, and the Sevii Islands. Characters are dropped in the middle of New Bark Town- or Team Rocket HQ in Goldenrod City- with a starter Pokémon, but after that, where your journey leads is up to you! Travel around the different regions catching and raising all your favorite Pokémon, take on the Indigo League and earn the right to open your own Gym, breed Pokémon for hidden abilities and shinies, or get drafted into Team Rocket and pull off huge heists with flashy catch phrase scenes! And a bonus for Voltrons: we already have a VERY nice beach house on Four Island!

Canon powers are nerfed and characters are humanized (although minor cosmetic features like Altean characteristics can stay), but in their place… Pokémon, almost anything up to Gen 8! There are no cast limits, which is a blessing in a huge canon like ours. The game is medium-large with a relaxed pace and a chill AC of 10 comments a month, but Pokémon battles, the Gym battle circuit, missions for Team Rocket members (or fending them off), and roughly monthly events allow you to add a bit of adventure to the slice of life at your own pace.

[game info]: Premise post. Deer Country is the sequel game to

deerington; it's a game that explores various genres of horror, but is particularly influenced by Lovecraftian horror and the video game Bloodborne. New comers are trying to form a new life after finding out they've been given a new life. It's hard to completely ignore the horror themes of the game, but there are plenty of things to do outside of the events, such as opening businesses, researching the world they've found themselves in, and helping out other Sleepers who are trying to fight off the corruption that runs through the world and causes people to turn into monsters if left unchecked. Blood powers can be manifested in any character and canon powers don't need to be nerfed. AC is fairly light and monthly events make it really easy to meet. Players are super open to plotting and there are a lot of older fandoms in the game which makes losers from a twenty year old ninja series feel right at home.
