March EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." [game info]: Deer Country is a horror game with eldritch/Soulsbourne vibes in which characters live among the Pthumerians: alien, god-like creatures who shape the world. Its themes vibe pretty well with Warframe's own cosmic horror motifs and there's a good number of other sci-fi characters already in the mix. The Operator's canonpoint is shortly post-Sacrifice, but I don't mind them interacting with characters from later canonpoints, including The New War. The Operator's been adjusting to being disconnected from their Warframes and Orbiter, not to mention everyone perceiving them as a more-or-less normal child rather than... y'know... a mythical Void-demon-angel-war-machine-god-thing. Event happenings have also pushed them to acknowledge their mixed feelings about the Lotus and how they simultaneously love and miss her and also feel hurt by her lying to and abandoning them.

Duplicity is a slightly dark-leaning sex game, wherein upon entry all characters are assigned a designation -- either Dominant or submissive -- and must assimilate within those roles, as defined by the city's particular class system and how society treats either one.
To be more specific, the game's overall themes obviously revolve heavily around D/s and adjacent dynamics, but there are often themes of brainwashing, torture, humiliation, dub- and/or noncon as well, in addition to kinks of all varieties being highlighted or encouraged during events, which are monthly and usually involve 3-5 themed prompts with a variety of different kinks for each. In general there are (usually) various incentives for characters to participate in things they might not normally, be those incentives be rewards, punishments, or aphrodisiacs that give them that "push."
Dominants and submissives must pair up for "contracts" (a Dominant may have multiple submissives, but a submissive may only have one Dominant), which effectively give the Dominants ownership and responsibility over their submissives for a period of 3 months, at which point they can renew it, or let the contract lapse and find new arrangements. All characters have a monthly quota of needing to engage in at least three (3) sex acts (which can be anything from voyeurism to mutual masturbation to traditional penetrative sex to, well, anything else) but threading out smut is not a requirement, for AC as well as in general.

[game info]: Deer Country is a medium-fast paced horror game with medium-light AC and a setting that's predominantly inspired by From Software's Bloodborne; dealing with themes of rebirth, transformation, and bonds. When characters arrive in the beleaguered city of Trench, they gain one of several supernatural blood types, each with its own unique kinds of powers, and must work together with the other "Sleepers" to survive in the nightmarish Waking World. In Trench, letting your negative feelings and trauma fester Corrupts you both mentally and physically... and if it goes on too long you run the risk of turning into a terrifying Beast. The game has a strong emphasis on community-building and player plots, which add to the more open-ended monthly mod run events.
The cast is currently in a state of chaos, as Sayo (Episode 3 gameboard) has recently confessed about her actions to both Jessica (pre-game) and Ange (Episode 6), and the ensuing, if expected, blowup resulted in Ange and Jessica both shattering their relationships with Sayo and retreating to deal with their personal crises. Will (Episode 7 tea party) is recovering from being nearly mauled to pieces by Bernkastel's cats and trying to puzzle out the bizarre existential situation of everyone from Beatrice's game getting dragged to Trench.

[game info]: Yogen is a horror game set in a high school, in which characters wake up suddenly as students of the school, spending their first days drifting between their school life memories and canon memories until they finally "wake up" and realize something isn't quite right here. Currently everyone is trapped inside of the school, so they're trying to uncover the mysteries of Yogen while also figuring out how they can get home.
Applications are on a rolling basis and there is a player cap of 30 people, but we do have a few spots open currently! AC is 20 comments over 2-3 threads (or 10 comments and an open toplevel/post,) but it's relatively easy to meet all things considered. There is a test drive meme here if you want to try it out! Apps are currently closed, but reopen on April 1st.
We also have a couple members of the cast who are happy to make icons if needed.

HAIKYUU @ VICTORY ROAD

[wanted]: EVERYONE! Especially the Seijoh boys (I'd kill for the Seijoh 4 all together), any of the setters, Kuroo, Ushijima, or any of the Karasuno crew. All of the girls too!
[game info]: Victory Road is a long running panfandom Pokémon game where your character wakes up in New Bark Town (or Goldenrod as a rocket) with their very own starter Pokémon of their choice and can either take their journey through Johto or take a ferry to Kanto and go through the region there. You can also be a part of Team Rocket as well, and many players in-game already are! On top of being either a trainer or rocket, the other option is to become a breeder, all of which have their own special perks. Victory Road also has most of the Pokémon up to Gen 8 (with Hisuian forms slowly being introduced), and all of the available ones are found in the routes. So if you want to find a Rookidee to become a Corviknight later for your character? You can find one on the early routes and more! Pokémon are also found in the towns and cities as well. Another bonus is that you can open up your very own gym in the Aurora League once you get all 16 badges and defeat the Elite 4 & Champion.
The size of the game is medium-large with a very relaxed pace and people are more than happy to backtag, and AC is a very nice 10 comments that can be spread across more than one thread as long as you hit ten comments from your character. But with doing the gym circuit, battling, dealing with rockets, and monthly-ish events; the pace is up to you.
There are also no cast limits, so for a large canon like Haikyuu, that's a good thing if you want to bring multiple people with you.
Apps are always open & processed every Sunday CST, and the main navigation here has a lot of helpful information, and the FAQ here answers most questions. The TDM for March/April is currently up. Mods are also always available to ask questions to as well.
I am more than happy to help anyone out who needs help with anything, including making icons from either the manga or the anime since I'm constantly going back and rereading/rewatching it.

Pace is medium, with mods seeming to alternate the intensity of events and LOTS of freedom for player plots. The game is a good fit for characters who are willing to invest their time and energy in the world, and players who are just as excited to independently plan and pursue their own character's development as they are the plot beats provided by mods!
The game has not reached its new cap of 60 players. Apps are judged based on the character's suitability for the game and their potential to participate in the plot, which I feel LoZ characters have in abundance. For example: diplomacy, exploration, research, an underwater city...

[game info]: Small, plotty cosmic horror game with heavy themes about the price of power and what people might do to gain it. The game doesn't remove powers (apart from the standard game-breaking nerfs) so much as put a moral quandary on them. The only way to use your powers is if you're instilling fear in/harming others in some way. The more significant the power, the more terror you have to induce. There's also an eldritch entity riding your back through it all, making it feel good to do horrible things. For non-powered characters, there's an opportunity to gain power associated with fear. We have a Good Omens (TV) Crowley in-game, so face-twin shenanigans with the Doctor abound!

I'd call the pace a comfortable medium, with tags tending toward solid quality medium-length introspection-y brackets, but that's hella flexible.

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game set in a post apocalyptic setting inspired by Bloodborne and eldritch horror, it's got a big focus on building community, corruption, new blood magic mechanics and starting a new life. There's a lot of large scale player plots with longterm effects on both the world and the larger group dynamic.
For the Buffyverse cast Willow was murdered by Darth Maul and has large gaps in her memories and is on her way to becoming Dark Willow once again, Tara recently moved out of the house she was sharing with Willow to go live with Faith due to a rapidly worsening situation with her powers causing problems for Willow, Faith is getting properly established as a monster hunter and reckoning with the fact that she is now in many ways technically a vampire.

[game info]: Victory Road is a long-running jamjar set in the world of Pokémon, specifically the regions of Johto, Kanto, and the Sevii Islands. Characters are dropped in the middle of New Bark Town- or Team Rocket HQ in Goldenrod City- with a starter Pokémon, but after that, where your journey leads is up to you! Travel around the different regions catching and raising all your favorite Pokémon, take on the Indigo League and earn the right to open your own Gym, breed Pokémon for hidden abilities and shinies, or get drafted into Team Rocket and pull off huge heists with flashy catch phrase scenes! And a bonus for Voltrons: we already have a VERY nice beach house on Four Island!
Canon powers are nerfed and characters are humanized (although minor cosmetic features like Altean characteristics can stay), but in their place… Pokémon, almost anything up to Gen 8! There are no cast limits, which is a blessing in a huge canon like ours. The game is medium-large with a relaxed pace and a chill AC of 10 comments a month, but Pokémon battles, the Gym battle circuit, missions for Team Rocket members (or fending them off), and roughly monthly events allow you to add a bit of adventure to the slice of life at your own pace.

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game sequel to Deerington, it's set in a semi post apocalypse, long after the world ended and a new society based around blood magic, monsters, gods and survival horror has been established. Think Bloodborne fused with gritty Steampunk with a lot of lore and world building as the focus. You can also get fun magic powers and a daemon animal companion!
The bulk of the Voltron cast has been in horror-ville for years which does mean there are some things to catch up on, but in our experience that adds a new layer of fun! The setting is very flexible, for example: we are currently allowed access to the full strength of the lions in certain situations with limitations of course. And the game is medium paced and can be fast in certain months, but is generally very friendly to backtagging and varying speeds/styles of play.

Players can expect monthly events, player plot opportunities, and a larger over-arching storyline involving the politics and structure of Hell (and Heaven) itself. Characters are given a real opportunity for either option, but since damned souls fuel hell, the temptation to do bad will be far more prevalent. Monthly events will frequently center on physical and psychological torment, body horror, pitting characters against one another, exploration, navigating through hell and its inner workings and more. The more your character gives into temptation the more they will find themselves... changing. This game is sex-friendly and will deal with many potentially triggering topics. Welcome to Hell, folks.
