with canonmates - dimigard and edelbert are my favorite edelgard ships. edelclaude, ferdigard, and edelthea complete my top five. I'm also potentially interested in seteth, rhea, sylvain, felix, and ingrid if we have similar interests. I'm a big enemies-to-lovers fan. I like golden route exploration, reluctant arranged marriages that wind through conflicted feelings and sexual tension to end up at genuine romantic love, battle couple tropes, love confessions, masquerade balls, fake relationships complicated by real feelings, us-against-the-world situations where characters are forced to rely on each other when they otherwise wouldn't.
AU me! vampires/werewolves/monsters, warring factions in space, simple canon divergence, modern AUs where our characters hook up like normal college students or whatever and gradually remember who and what they used to be in the past life where they were at odds/fighting side by side/whatever. I'm pretty open here. I like settings that help pry edelgard open faster than she'd let it happen in fódlan so I could be willing to set a psl in a game's setting.
actual smut's not necessary but I'm definitely down if you are. first-times, sneaky monastery meetings, angry I-hate-that-I-love-you sex, etc. if you have a student canonmate I'd be into an academy-era sex challenge type of thing, where she and another character take turns bossing each other around. edelgard sets the rules for one night's sneaky sex, her partner gets to call the shots the next time, etc etc. I've also had another scenario in mind for a while but haven't played it yet: a (possibly reluctant) political marriage where edelgard's new spouse tries to distract her from further conflict by using sex in sort of a 1001 nights of physical intimacy (which would hopefully help to lead to emotional intimacy). the idea first came up when I was talking to a dimitri player so admittedly that'd be the ideal pairing for this but I think it'd be a fun thread regardless of pairing. your character doesn't have to be experienced with sex or well-versed in kink, just willing to do it. generally speaking vanilla sex is always fine for smut but when it comes to less vanilla threads I'm kind of burnt out on a lack of variety so I'd love more situations where dynamics aren't set in stone forever, situations where one turns the tables on the other, characters taking turns, etc. part of the fun in playing a character as tightly-wrapped as edelgard is being able to explore her vulnerabilities and I'd like to have more chances to do that so if you enjoy writing switchy stuff we'll probably get along great.
with crosscanon - I haven't gotten to play much significant crosscanon with edelgard, although this may work best with canons I already know to some degree. she could work really well with characters from game of thrones, dragon age, final fantasies (I feel like there could be some cool canon-meshing with ffxiv's ishgardians?), the witcher, but I'm also cool with modern canons if we have a good match. there's some basic info in the journal.
