That makes sense! The Crown Prince's status is definitely more important than that of... the Emperor's cousin? Lieutenant? BFF? What exactly is she? Not even her own people are quite sure! (She's actually in a similar position to Alric in terms of succession: at the moment she's the next in line to be Emperor if her cousin dies before having a child! But literally no one else knows that, except for Alric if you'd like him to know.)

So, we can have them do a big wedding ceremony in Kaitheny and hang out there getting to know each other for a few weeks before they go to the Empire for a second big ceremony. Awkward and exhausting for both of them, I love it!
