FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

Also, I think your heart’s in the right place here.

I agree with the other anons who are saying that you’re not really going about this the right way and that the game sounds pretty niche, but I also think your intent is good and I hope you’ll eventually find a way to make a game that you’ll enjoy modding and/or playing in and that your friends will feel comfortable in.

Seeking: First off, canonmates would be great though I think I've only ever seen one Cole before?? HMU if you're out there though! But the thing that got me thinking about making the ad was I'm a simple lass with a dumb sense of humor and I think some crosscanon shit with Twilight characters could be funny. If you don't want to come to LA it's easy enough to say she has her medical internship up in Washington to relocate.

Down with doing some random memes to see if it's as fun as it sounds and ending up in a PSL or just cutting right to that.

I have a couple questions! I see mentions in the faq etc about clans/ship crews is that something done ICly? Or assigned OOCly and people just have to get along? :v

Also I see there is the one main comm is there an overall game preference for log entries, or network posts, or kin da split evenly? Do IC inboxes get used?

That is 100% fair on not keeping up with comics tbh, I can never fault that. But we can make it work! That's a point I hadn't considered, yes. A whodunit where even the suspect isn't sure. I'm not fussed on where - I have an open post or can do museboxes/memes whatever if you have any preference. Honestly same with lengths and whatnot. So long as things are moving it's all good by me. Do you have any particular preferences there?

Dope! So would probably need to incorporate alternate reality shenanigans, two starting points that come to mind so far:
- Steven gets dropped into Loki's reality (three cheers for yet another scandalous Egyptian artifact?) -- bonus points if it's an AU set between Infinity War and Endgame, Loki survived and is doing missions with the Avengers as part of his ~redemption~ arc, and Steven ends up on his ship in space for additional what-the-fuckery.

- Loki gets dropped into Steven's reality for some reason To Be Determined -- bonus points if it's in a stupid situation like he's relaxing in a freestanding bathtub and he, along with the whole tub, just appears in Steven's flat.

But if these options seem to quacky we can think of something else!!

yeah...you're still turning away a huge number of characters who might want to engage with their canon pasts occasionally by saying they have to limit what they thread in the game. it doesn't seem like you understand what a huge restriction that really is.

It does not seem as big to me as it seems to be to you guys, so I think you are right. I will take that into account when I do my rethinking and try to figure out a way to be as inclusive as possible while still making the game a comfortable and safe space. Thank you.

The clans thing is actually something we are going to be updating in a big FAQ overhaul. You'll be randomly assigned a ship and a crew upon acceptance into the game though.

There is a mix bag for how people post. We have both network and logs and IC inboxes. Sometime you might see both in the same top level.

If you post on the TDM, we have a Plurk and a Discord that will announce you so you'll definitely get hits. The game loves new folk :D

you can still tell us about what you have now and note that you're open to input and changes if co-mods have opinions on anything. when you're just keeping it 100% opaque then no one has any way of telling whether they want to sign on or not, because they have no idea what you're even going for. it's the same reason "you can do anything" type settings or games that try to appeal to everyone fail, because you need a hook to get anyone's attention in the first place.

Nope, no big preferences on me for anything. Same with where to post. I suppose a musebox might be the best place considering it seems like a long-term sort of story, and then drag them to Memes off and on if you're up to it. TBH I'm just slightly biased because I love memes but this seems like a musebox/open post fit.

I think a part of me has been afraid that if I share too much I'll wind up disappointing people if things change, or that I'll turn off potential co-mods by making them think I'd be so rigid they won't have any input. I see now that I think I went too far.

Dropping into Loki's is fine, I'm pretty up to date on most things with him, I think, and it's a lot more exciting to put them into since Steven is kind of trying to pretend things are normal, I think, near the end of his own. They do, technically, exist in the same universe though, Moon Knight is just set 2024(2025?) ish, so after the events of like everything happened.

Setting it between IW and Endgame works for me, I think redemption arcs are grand and does give us something to work for with the both of them.

jigokucho both have a strong fate cast in them I might recommend checking out, with jigoku-cho also having a cast of Genshin and Arknights pups. Avalon currently has their TDM up and apps going until the 14th, while Jigoku won't have their TDM until the 24th.

Oh yeah, I know that Moon Knight is part of the MCU proper, but for Loki to have lived and Steven to find himself in the past I'd take an AU angle. I can write up a starter in a bit! (Also, maybe it'd be cool if Loki eventually notices a white thread heading into nothingness or the moon from Steven if he squints real hard to symbolize his attachment to Khonshu?)

Does this mean that every in single time someone wants to RP a fight, they have to first ask the entirety of the game if they can thread it. Then they have to wait for that answer from the whole game. By the time everyone has weighed in, the opportunity for that CR and thread will have long since passed. It sounds a lot more like talking about RPing than actually playing if you are going to require every player to weigh in on every single thread where violence of any kind might be played. (Assuming that it was plotted out before hand. This is discounting CR that changes during threads due to character actions in that thread.)

And if even one person says "no", they can't play it.

Or is this just a case of player one and player two have a fight. They both want to do it. They thread warn for cw: fist fight and the rest of the game can just scroll past.

Basically, what constitutes an "involved player". Just the people threading or anyone and everyone who might happen to click and read?

Oh fair that makes sense! Apologies. I've had a few people think it wasn't but that assumption was on me. And sounds good! The string bit too, I don't much mind whatever he's able to pick up on, I know he's a bit of a quick wit.

Anyone who would be in that thread. So it could be two people in a fight, two people and a bystander and a healer. I never intended for anyone to need the whole game's approval, and I am sorry if I came across that way. I had intended that it would be parties involved in that one thread, and a CW warning if they decide to do something that needs the warning. I hope that clarifies it!

just to give you a solid idea here, i did a quick scan of my game's taken list. there are 110 canons listed (109 when you cut the OC section). i have passing familiarity, outside RP, with about 66 of them. there were only 12 that i couldn't think of anything in the canon that could fall under topics too dark or triggering for this game, based on what you've said so far. this is also acknowledging that a lot of them i haven't actually seen and they could have dark stuff i'm not aware of (since i only counted things i knew for sure had dark stuff). that's more than 80% of canons.

it's possible, if extremely unlikely, that every canon i didn't know has no dark stuff, and it's certainly possible my game leans heavily toward darker canons. this is not a scientific number by any means. but i hope this impresses upon you that you're certainly cutting out a very big chunk, if any of the people playing with these canons want to engage with their content.

The censoring out of swearing is because Chicklet herself (? I believe she is right) hates vulgarity and will not/can not tolerate it around her. The desire for a G to PG game is directly connected to her own personal inability to play with or be around anything stronger without suffering from personal triggers of some form.
