ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the Second Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." joking aside, castmates for her would be fun. i've bounced the idea of her going against a beau because of cerberus assembly vs cobalt soul stuff. maybe they run into each other at a job while astrid is still a volstrucker, maybe they're going after the same thing or maybe they're actively getting in each other's way kind of deal. spy shit. not necessarily a fight but definitely a little tension where neither knows what the other wants which i thrive on. hell you can substitute beau with any of the nein since even without the cobalt soul stuff the possibility of them going for the same thing isn't impossible.

i'd also love exploration of post-campaign going ons with her taking on the role that she does. a conversation about that with eadwulf and what he'll do next, if he'll stay with her. meeting any of the nein for favors of her own or vice versa if they so happen to need someone of her ilk, which they sometimes might? going back to the grove every now and then to help just.. plant stuff? some might say that is a way of dealing with guilt for everything else she's done but she's not going to acknowledge it. caleb being a professor at the school they started off in and the proximity means they'd probably at least have some chats. which means the possibility of properly meeting essek without it being in a fight or whatever. a proper conversation! wow.

as far as caleb goes, an honest conversation without fear of being overheard by trent would drop a lot of pretenses which could be interesting. she could admit that maybe she doesn't really know caleb, having only really known him as bren, etc. i like exploring the dynamics of estranged exes.

— for fearne: shenanigans, and also more bell's hells? and more cross-campaign stuff! i'm familiar with both c1 and c2 characters. i'm almost caught up to c1 and fully caught up on c2. for her i don't have any particular plot desires, so i'm definitely more loosey goosey on what she's up to. which works out. pre-campaign stuff? sure! she's old enough to have been around. plus the feywild is weird! she could've ended up anywhere with how sometimes the feywild just bleeds into the other planes. which means playing around with cross-canon is prime for making things weird. i like weird. it's definitely a lot easier for her to be shoved in with all sorts of canons so that's cool.

swat her hand away from your things! maybe don't let her take night watches since she might watch you sleep? braid her hair! watch her do dumb shit with wildshape and other druid abilities! general misuse of magic! go break into someone's house! pretend to be a married couple for some reason! i don't know. i don't care. as long as it's fun i'd probably run with it.

— for lenore: also shenanigans. i dunno. i dug out her journal and dusted it off so i don't really have many thoughts other than 'hehe. lady'. indulgent vampire stuff. i'm sure there's things to do.

— for y'shtola: castmates! npcs! scions! as always. estinien also just because of the 6.1 stuff. i want her to interact with her coworkers more. runar would also be cute but that's like.. really out there as far as hopes goes, but that's somehow more plausible than finding a thancred insane enough to ship with shtola as i'm still convinced i'm one of like five. which is kind of funny but i did that to myself. i just enjoy the chemistry i dunno try not to judge me too hard. i know. believe me, i know. oooh, a matoya would be fun too because i love that teacher-student duo a lot. they love each other in their own way. it's about the found family trope..

anyway, let her gently bully her coworkers. let her do vulnerable things like let herself be blind around them or ask them to read to her every now and then. or learn new things with her! or go undercover with her because we've seen she's very good(?) at that in ARR. unlikely pair-ups for missions! bouncing off ideas off of each other for cracking open a mystery, or a creation of a new spell. or maybe someone wants to develop a spell to make their own familiar! she has the same temperament as her master, so she's not the most patient and kind teacher in the world, but she can play at being a teacher if someone asks her to.

or maybe it's just the much needed downtime and having a meal somewhere. maybe they're going to the beach because it's summer! just don't mind that she's wary around aurelia and keeps a healthy distance. don't ask her about it either. or maybe they go somewhere cold to escape the heat.

ooorr the usual exploration of a canon moment that wasn't elaborated on much at all (so ranging in some spoilers here from shb onwards, but feel free to find something fun to nitpick at from arr-stb too! these are just more recent examples). the not-apology to thancred when she basically told him off in raktika. a quiet moment with ryne to talk about how she feels about everything before and after eulmore. letting urianger talk about his anxieties of meeting moenbryda's parents while they're in sharlayan. or alisae and alphinaud and what they saw in garlemald. there's a lot of processing that should've happened but didn't because of how urgent everything else was.

for tagging speed: it varies. i can go minutes or days or weeks but generally try to get to them within a few days. i’m pst, and i work 40+ hours some weeks but i’m happy to backtag forever if you’re okay with that. unless i clear my inbox by accident again. nightmare.

i like a wide variety of stuff. smut is well and good for any, sure, and i'll still do it because it's fun but i've been craving exposition and character exploration ranging from silly to serious.

- While I like playing fluff and shipping most, I also enjoy action, slice of life, comedy, and compelling heartfelt adventures. I have been known to create a few adventures for a pair of characters to embark on, with a few of my other muses occasionally thrown in as well to add flavor.
- TRAGIC ROMANCE! This is a weirdly specific one, but I like to write tragic romances that either are tragic because of canon and they finally can have a chance in RP-verse, or are tragic because of the circumstances of RP-verse.
- Crack! I like really silly ridiculous things that make people laugh, like over the top TFLN, weird ships, fail sex, or many other things. I play several whacky characters, but it might be fun to throw some of my more serious characters into situations where they're the straight man to all the craziness going on around them.

Honestly, anything goes. Castmates are fun, cross-canon is great, hero-villain stuff, villains being villains or shipping stuff, it's all good! That said, I have a few ideas too as potential hooks:
- Private detective stories! Basically, something where Ed's trying to reform and is working as a PI with flexible morals and trying (and maybe failing?) not to backslide into being a criminal. Could be fun to throw him at law enforcement types or criminals and see what happens.
- With some of DCs recent output, I would love to play around with the fact that one version of Ed was briefly a member of the Suicide Squad. This doesn't have to be a castmates thing. I'm happy to work something out with anyone who is interested in a secret government team of disposable individuals sent on off-the-record missions!
- I love reluctant allies situations where two characters who wouldn't normally associate are forced to work together. Whether this leads to them getting along or hating each other even more, it's all good to me!
- Lastly, I am always down for hero-villain shenanigans or villain team-ups, and I'm happy for Ed to lose - just so long as it's at least a little bit of a challenge.

Lea and Xion are CRAU, Roxas is not), Kairi, and Vexen. Ienzo and Ansem the wise are both planning to come back at some point when their RL allows. Not sure if Xehonort is also planning to return or not.

VT has a somewhat limited Network (It exists, but all posts are public) and is a slowish paced game, except during events which can sometimes get a little faster. Backtagging friendly.

Haha I just came back not too long ago after a couple years of being out of the DWRP game myself, so I feel you! I'd love to PSL, definitely feel free to take your time with icons, there's no rush at all especially if you're busy out of town right now! We can totally start with Marc and Steven and maybe work a Jake reveal in if either of us are feeling it a little later.

I figure we could do something where either they get tangled up with some magical artifact or another and split physically, or maybe they get pulled into the Duat again by Osiris (or whoever!) to do something for him since Taweret and Khonshu are the only two gods left with avatars, or I'm open to any ideas—those two are just the options that sprang to my mind first.

Looking for Co-mods

Hello! I am looking to start a game set in the world of Everland! I don't want to say too much about the game itself in a public space yet, because I want any co-mods to be able to have a say in what information is made public to start and what the players must uncover over time.

Of the things I can say, are the following:

Everland will be a game of second chances. I mean this on the meta level. I would ask all co-mods to be willing to review every potential player as if they had never heard anything bad about them or had any bad interactions with them. I want Everland to be a game that welcomes anyone who truly wishes to be part of the community in a positive way, even if their history isn't flawless in the larger Dreamwidth community. We all mess up sometimes, and we all need to know that there is a place for us if we grow up and learn from our mistakes, and we all need a safe space. I want to make the OOC community of Everland a space where all feel safe and welcomed, and that no one is pre-judged harshly. That is my biggest requirement for co-mods. Being willing to treat everyone freshly and fairly.

Everland will be very CRAU welcoming. One of the things that drove me to create Everland is how hard it can be to find a came that allows for CRAU, OCs, and canon OCs. Once people feel they are welcome, I want them to feel their characters are welcome too.

That said, Everland will be a game that is not intended to ever go past PG-13 and the aim is to keep it pretty steadily at G or PG. Anything beyond PG-13 should be fade to black or taken to private threads. I am therefore, hoping to not be asking co-mods to read anything that would make them uncomfortable.

My plan is for Everland to be a check-in game with optional bonus AC.

One big thing I am planning that Co-mods would need to know in advance is that the intention behind the game is to be very NPC interactive. Not all NPCs will be run by the mods, but quite a few will, so any co-mods would have to be willing to RP with the players.


Anyway, yeah. Willing to talk more with potential co-mods. My ideal is one mod who can code and at least 4 of us on plot and npcs before we open, though a smaller but strong team would also be good.

Most of the game info is already written, though on Scrivener, and I would need another set of eyes on it to proof everything and bounce ideas off of, as well as to help me format the actual posts. We already have a WIP map and some icons and a bunch of the NPCs are set. I didn't want to set them all, again, to leave room for other mods to have fun and express themselves creatively.

Looking for:
- PSLs, meme callouts, whatever! Especially love long-running PSLs with lots of development in CR and characters.
- Canonmates, cross-canon (world-hopping or AU), OCs, all are loved each in their own way!
- Open in principal to anything from gen to ship to smut. I'm an incurably shippy soul, but obviously some characters are easier to ship/smut/etc than others (I mean you can try and date the Dalek I guess???), so it's a thing to discuss up front!
- Tend to lean toward fluffier things (my horror and despair quotas are filled just fine by the news) but I can definitely get into darker/heavier themes if there's character development to be had there, and I love--love--digging into the layers of a character's inner world.

Other:
- EST, but what is a sleep pattern, can you eat it?
- I can be slow when tagbrain departs for a while, but I would also backtag the cosmic microwave background for a fun and/or interesting thread, and always always up for plotting/meta/etc. There are literally years-stale threads I would 100% be down to revivify if the other party were up for it.

Starting with Marc and Steven sounds great to me tbh! I adore those two quite a bit.

Personally, I like the idea of them either magically being split, or the idea of a shared head-space type area (like Duat, but without the whole... dying death thing that makes it all very sad LOL). Though getting pulled down might make it work if it's not dead.

I'm pretty much down for anything and very excited tbh.

Greek mythology/The Iliad + crosscanon

For Ganymede:
Anything from mythical Bronze Age Greece when the myths are happening up to modern day! Gods or mortals - would definitely love doing crosscanon with other immortal humans. (If you'd be interested in a doubles situation in a jamjar or dimension hopping thing, that'd be fun too! As well as other Greek myth adaptations, though some of them I might prefer as, again, jamjar or dimension hopping.)
-For specific characters, Hebe, Eros (or the other Erotes), Apollo (mostly for the connecting with Troy, with Apollo as its tutelary deity), but anyone's great.
-For shipping, Zeus - I'm open to different approaches, but prefer a more positive, reciprocal situation, even if it doesn't necessarily start there.

For Paris:
Mostly mythical Bronze Age, from childhood to late war, or post-death in the Underworld/Elysium (mashing together with Supergiant's Hades game would be fun!). I have a modern day reincarnation AU for him as well. Canon divergences of various sorts of straight up AUs would be great. Looking for basically anyone, whether gods or mortals; anyone from the enemy side we could always engineer some situation for them to be meeting/stuck for a bit together or something.
-For specific characters, Hektor especially! But any siblings as well, and Aphrodite, Helen and Menelaus. Ares too, because it'd be interesting to play with the golden crown situation, maybe into a one-off fuck or whatever.
-For shipping, definitely both Menelaus (especially Menelaus, I confess) and Helen, but I'm wide open to any other male characters as well.
