I think I see where the disconnect is now. I am sorry for being not being clear. I did not mean that characters couldn't have darker themes in their canons/past. My concern is for what is played out in the game. And even within the game, if characters want to have darker themes come into play they can do so but FTB or go to journals. They only cannot use those threads for bonus AC. There is no mandatory AC, so I did not see it as that big of a problem. But if that will bother people, I can give the concept more thought.
