We’re a small group of friends running a FMA:Brotherhood RP based on the premise for the game Ryslig. If you're not familiar: once characters arrive in the setting, they gradually, mysteriously begin to turn into monsters. There's a variety of monsters to choose from and it’s a fun challenge to explore how these changes affect everyone physically and psychologically. Our group mostly focuses on interesting character interaction and subtext, but there are larger mysteries to uncover and also plenty of opportunities for complex action scenes. We prefer that all players are 18+ since there is some blood and gore, gross monster transformations, and other mature horror themes as the story progresses.
On average, we'll usually give at least one tag to our active threads per day, though we have been known to set time aside to focus and get through threads a bit faster. It's a low pressure group so sometimes the pace is slower if people are busy - the most important thing to us is consistency in the long term.
A few additional details:
-The format is very heavy on prose/logs, usually multi-paragraph. -We use Discord for out of character chat and coordination but we do play on DW. -You can opt out of your character being a monster (For example, Ed is not a monster). -Characters arrive as normal humans without any special abilities. These can be earned back through story progression. -We currently have Ed, Mustang, and Hawkeye as established characters and Ling and Lan Fan potentially joining soon. We would welcome any other characters from Brotherhood/the FMA manga. -There are lots of opportunities for OC development and playing multiple secondary characters to fill out the world.
