FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

Welcome to the Broken World.

You can't even remember how you got here.

All you know is that one moment you were in a world you were used to, comfortable in. It might have been a regular day or the most important day of your life. You wake up in what seems like the blink of an eye, nauseous and dizzy but otherwise unscathed, barefoot and dressed only in a set of plain grey clothing, trapped in an empty room. You start to lose track of time, the only sound the distant ticking of what sounds like a massive clock.

Just when things seem hopeless, when you feel like you're about to go mad, there's the sound of a commotion outside your door, and when the door opens, there's someone there ready to whisk you away. There's an opportunity to fight back.

Set on the Broken world, Annexed is a sci-fantasy panfandom game. Characters are kidnapped by the Sylphid, a race of magical creatures who reproduce by hollowing out the bodies of sentient creatures and inhabiting them, but immediately freed by an underground rebellion group called the Witches who seek to restore the world to what it was before the Sylphid annexed it. Characters joining the Witches are promised either a new home on their restored world, or access to the magitech that brought them to this world so they can return to their own. They are also tied to the energy of one of the planets - Heba or Tian - which will grant them the opportunity to develop different powers, and tasked with finding a Tether with someone tied to the energy of the opposite planet in order to maintain their energy balance lest they die slowly while losing their minds.

[game info]: Annexed is a sci-fi/fantasy game that's just opening, set in a world that's been largely taken over by body-stealing creatures called Sylphid. A large segment of the population is immune to being controlled by them, and so are instead chipped, deprived of any powers and forced to support the lifestyles of the ruling Sylphid. A rebellion has kicked up which characters are rescued by when they arrive in the world (due to the Sylphid seeking out more compatible hosts in other worlds) and can then participate in missions, both infiltration and combat-based, to fight back against the Sylphid and hopefully potentially free the world from their rule.

The 1st TDM is still going, and reserves and applications are always open (the game has a cap of 60 players, but applications past that go into a queue to be accepted as slots become available).

I am fully here for departure from the canon story as well.

stranger things — for both, probably mostly Gerry for peer-aged stories (would love to play with an Eddie!) but Ben is also very suited for things if anyone plays Hopper or Joyce, the teens (Eddie and Will especially,) or if you play one of the younger characters and wants a mentor dynamic or found family. Gerry travels a LOT everywhere for so many reasons and I can easily plant him into Hawkins over crossed wires between what he's usually doing, and the canon craziness that occurs there. very much same for Ben. I'd love anyone from the cast for either of these two.

So Annexed is a brand new game that's projected to open on August 15th.
Annexed can be described as a mission-based sci-fantasy panfandom jamjar game. While on the Broken World, characters have their energy tied to one of two planets affording them new abilities. Heba gives super powers and Tian gives access to magic.

Another key mechanic is the tether system, people need to find tethers with people of differing alignments to balance out their energy to keep the world in alignment. (Though you can align with people of the same energy as you as well.)

There's a new mission log every other month with missions ranging from stealth and intel gathering to open battles, arrival rescues, or guerilla supply runs. Basically everything that a good portion of the Wing cast are intimately familiar with already.

Annexed has a super active test drive meme (which can count as in-game canon). So feel free to check it out! Everyone's super chill and quite happy to tag out!

[game info]: Imeeji is a game in which characters are torn from their worlds, and sorted onto one of twelve units to become idols for the entertainment of hell! Though most enstars characters would scoff at the producer's interpretation of idols! As they aren't dancing and singing. Rather, they compete with the other units in games that can range anywhere from social bingo to death and trauma.

When characters arrive, they lack memories (with the exception of 'auditions'), but those are quickly earned back! And each unit possesses a different powerset and aesthetic. If you look closely enough, you'll notice that several units appear rather familiar, even if they go by different names.

metaheroes is a panfandom superhero game, where characters are at the mercy of dimensional confluences of an unknown origin that drag them into the game world and occasionally fuck up reality in big events. There are also tons of elements at play that the mods encourage people to use in player plots and players get a fair bit of freedom in developing plots for themselves and CR. There are mob bosses, magical cults, etc etc.

Characters must also make a choice whether or not to join either the hero or reformed villain (but secretly not, for some villains) guild, or be unaligned, with more freedom and way less resources. Guild relations started out less hostile but are getting a little spicy now, though it's not a faction game. It's more an issue of how the npcs/game world are reacting to unaligned heroes. There is a mystery afoot about some things from the guilds' pasts, too. tl;dr there's freedom but a lot of great ic tension.

Hunter is going to see the guilds as just like the coven system and make some very bad choices to try to make it on the streets. (Though he'll keep doing hero stuff). It'd be a very good thing if one of his friends comes along to kick him for it.

The game is invite-only but everyone gets 1 invite per month. I'd want to chitchat first but am happy to offer one to anyone as long as they're chill! Also, right now the game is having a DC Comics' style reality crisis that's a 4th wall event open to anyone, for anyone who'd like to dip their toes in the water.

- Looking for castmates as well as fun cross-canon combinations!
- I can work with most scenarios or tones! Adventure, gen, comedy, some crack, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff, some horror. Shared dreams/mindscapes are one favorite scenario type of mine, and I'm always game for comedic situations of characters being stuck in a jam together. Also open to your standard AUs such as Pokemon, Avatar: The Last Airbender or some kind of magical school.
- My main limits: I prefer to avoid scenarios getting too extreme in terms of being graphic/bleak/depressing, and I don't play smut, though nsfw content that doesn't necessarily lead to sex (or fades to black) can still fine, including comedic and/or fluffy scenarios.
- In terms of shipping, I primarily lean towards playing m/f for most of my characters with some exceptions, or f/f for Scorpia and Gina. I also don't do incest or adults with non-adults, but otherwise I'm generally open in trying out ships either within canon or cross-canon!
- Shipping aside, I also love playing with family/found family dynamics! So relevant canonmates would be welcome, as would other potential family dynamics!
- My tagging speed can vary dramatically. It depends on various factors from my schedule for the day to my mood on a given day to what characters I'm feeling most at a given time. that takes your character off to save everyone's worlds with the help of their new familiar...

As social media makes every ounce of pain and suffering visible to everyone in the world and makes strides toward a greater, more just world, it also gives rise to equal amounts of hatred, lies, and knowledge. A group known as the Knights of the New World works for years toward finding a way to end this suffering and bring the world to peace. With access to all the world's knowledge, they find secrets and means to find that which lies in legend: The sword Excalibur, deep within the ocean where none would have been able to find it for thousands and thousands of years.

The Knights of the New World take this artifact, one of the few remnants of magic left in the world, and after a fierce battle, manage to capture a large hadron collider, intentionally creating a black hole and infusing it with the power of Excalibur, shredding the fabric of reality that separates the multiverse. They have succeeded in ending not just their world, but all worlds.

All except for the one protected by the very magics that gave birth to Excalibur in the first place: the Isle of Avalon, the final resting place of the Once and Future King. A remnant of Camelot frozen in a timeless universe, developed over centuries outside of time itself for the day when the world once again needed him. A modern, new Camelot now draws in people from throughout the multiverse to work together with King Arthur to save all of our worlds.

The problem is: Avalon's magic is all but gone with the efforts to stop time before Caliburn's Collision and draw in those who can save everyone from their spots in now-frozen timelines. You will need to restore magic to this protected land and quest across realms to find that which is needed to strip Excalibur of its magic and stop the multiverse from being obliterated.

any extra threads you have can be used as bonus AC to get regains. regain items do not have to be from your character's canon. so if you want your character to have a stuffie dinosaur or whatever, you can ask for it. as long as it's nothing too big or too powerful because the captain doesn't want anyone/anything that's cooler than him.

[why]: For the canon unfamiliar Hunter is basically a Zuko for this generation of kids, a teenager who was serving a shitty parent in an even shittier empire. He has, however, realized the error of his ways and joined the protagonists in trying to do good.

I absolutely would love for Hunter to get a chance to hang out with another face-scarred bad but sad boy with the world's worst parent. They'd have a lot in common, are both trying to reform and make good, can both be kind of stiff and socially awkward (in a funny way), and would probably become really good mutually supportive friends, but also occasionally fight like cats in a bag.

[game info]: The game's navigation is here! Deer Country is a medium-paced horror-based setting. Characters end up getting one of several blood types that can grant new powers (although it's also possible to be a Warmblood if one does not want to change their powers) which can be mixed and matched with canon powers. Characters live in the city of Trench in which there are a number of jobs characters can take on, and there are monthly events which often draw from various horror canons.

The AC consists of two proofs that can each consist of at least 5 log comments and/or 10 network comments. Apps open the first five days of each months, with reserves open the last week for the month, and test drives usually go up sometime around the reserves. Here is last month's test drive.
