FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

YOUKAI MEET YAKUZA

The spiritual realm is not as orderly a place as one might imagine, particularly within the Land of the Dead. Over time immemorial, the authority of the Enma has faded. His work to keep order within his realm has overextended him and this has allowed the hellbound Youkai to form their own factions and stake out their own claims.

Nowhere is this more evident than within the central hub: Jigoku-cho.

Originally created as a sort of trading ground between the various clans and tribes within the spiritual realm, it grew and grew into a marvelous city of grand pleasures. Here, while the presence of the Enma and of his sense of order is not entirely absent, one is able to find any number of vices to indulge themselves in. Jigoku-cho became the playground of the underworld and, of course, that created a tempting prospect for the powers within.

But more than the ‘spice of life’ that the city brings, there is also something else that this city can offer. The city built off the tributary of the Sanzu River offers a seemingly limitless supply of souls. From any time, from any universe, dead or alive: souls may find themselves drawn to this realm. Before his influence became too strained, the Enma dealt with all these lost souls directly, assigning them their labors and giving them a clear path to returning to their homes or to resurrection.

That's not the case any longer. The most powerful Youkai factions within Jigoku-cho now contract these Lost Souls to serve their interests, while promising their grandest desires in return. Once this was initially a peace keeping measure and an offer to help share the Enma’s burden, but now it is a coveted resource. More valuable than all the gold in the spiritual realm, it is something that would give any given faction complete control over Jigoku-cho if the balance were to tip in their favor.

And if one controls Jigoku-cho, they control all of the spiritual realm.

GATHER LOST SOULS

Jigoku-cho is a panfandom roleplaying game that takes place in a modern city based in "Hell". It is a combination of Japanese fantasy and mythology, and modern crime drama. Yakuza meets Youkai!

Characters brought are "Lost Souls", regardless of whether they’ve actually died or not. They are then assigned to one of four factions. Each faction serves a different role within the world. The game’s story and plot will focus around the goals of these factions and how the friction between them will shape this world. The ultimate goal of these “Lost Souls” is to work their way into earning their ticket home, to resurrection, or even another desire their heart desperately wants.

[game info]: Abraxas is a fantasy faction game broken up into 3 cities at odds over a big ol magical rock thing. It has a neat element called the Horizon that all player characters can meditate to access, which is like a shared malleable magical dreamscape. Characters build their own domain in the horizon however they want, and they can visit others there. Also, everyone gets magic powers. It's dope.

It's the year of our lord 2022 and our Supernatural cast is 1 away from cast cap. That 1 slot could be yours (in... two months, next app round, because they just closed, and they're bimonthly).

Hello!!! I am on the hunt for games for some potential ✨Digimon Survive✨ muses within the next couple of months! Most likely Ryo, but I am also considering Kaito or Shuuji, we'll see how voicetesting shakes out ig. I'm also considering Haru but I already have my eyes on a game for him in particular.

Deleted scenes, post canon h/c or adventures, canon divergence, monster of the week, B A T H S, silly AUs, etc - I have many ideas to share. Jikan is a slice of life sex game set in fantasy steampunk Japan, focused on forging bonds with other characters and exploring the setting as new regions are opened up! [why]: Yelena is romantically involved with Diego in game and has now read Viktor’s book. She’d like to meet and interact with his family. It could be pretty interesting interacting with Sparrows, too, along with other characters like the Handler.
[game info]: In Reparacija, your character is sent to a prison on an alien world for what they are told are crimes against their world. This can mean destroying the universe or not wearing an ugly Christmas sweater to an ugly Christmas sweater party. Once there, they are given a sentence of “kinks” they must perform to free themselves. If you choose a light sentence for your character, these kinks can be as innocent as hugging and holding hands. AC is check-in, but there is an option to turn in a small amount of AC if you want a bonus. TDM’s always open around the 1st of the month and remain taggable all month long. Reserves open on the 5th and close on the 10th. Applications open on the 10th and close on the 15th, so you can still squeeze in and enjoy the super dark August event when it’s posted.

Songerein—

A dream world born from the clash of three different universes. One world produced emotion energy, a byproduct created when one's emotions manifested into a more tangible force. Another produced dream energy, a byproduct of one's dreams that allowed one to view and traverse through them. Both worlds produced so much excess energy they were diverted into an empty universe and happened to collide, producing a new, strange world made up of a new source, dreamotion energy. It remained a barren wasteland until a tear through the dimensions appeared and the concepts of fairy tales poured through. Magic, creatures, environments—they were all dumped in a central location and life began to form. But were they real? Or just figments of what they used to be? Regardless, this giant clash has created a unique world filled with unlimited possibilities.

But of course, a clash of this size would have some side effects. The dream energy in particular remains volatile and continues to seep out with its innate ability to connect to any dream in any world. If there is a strong enough resonance between the dreamer and dream energy, a version of the dreamer, a dream self, is formed and pulled into Songerein while the original body remains in their world safe, unharmed, and unaware of what's going on. Only after accumulating enough dreamotion energy can the dream self "wake up" and leave Songerein to return to its original body, all its experiences feeling like a strange, long dream.

Fortunately, Songerein is relatively...peaceful. It's a brand new world after all with only the fairy tale creatures and the dream selves, or dreamwalkers as they are officially called, pulled from other worlds as its denizens. There may be times the different energies become unstable, but it only creates a slight disturbance that eventually settles. Still, the constant connecting and reconnecting through the dream energy means that different things are randomly pulled in and disappear from the world. Those who have decided to make Songerein their home want to build onto it by using the ability to traverse through dreams to their advantage. By creating dreamshifts, they can create giant dreamscapes based on other worlds that large groups of dreamwalkers can enter and bring back concepts to be used in Songerein. Beginning with fairy tales, dreamwalkers could also form dreamshifts based on their own home worlds to bring in something from there. As a bonus, this uses the excess dreamotion energy within the world, helping stabilize it.

So, what kind of world will Songerein become? Just remember…

Songerein is a panfandom game based on the following three former games: Somarium, Empatheias, and Forgotten Tales. At its core it is a worldbuilding game with adventure and character development. Player and character action will be what decides what is brought into Songerein, be it for good or ill. Although it's expected for players to be able to create their own fun and not rely solely on the mods, Songerein is billed to be more of a relaxed game for everyone to have fun in.

Rhodos is a Silent Hill inspired horror game focusing on psychological trauma and you also app your character's "Manifestation" which you create, which stalks and haunts them and plays off of their worst personality attributes and trauma. We are still on the TDM but apps open 8/23 and the game is set to start on 9/1.
