deercountry is CRAU friendly and a horror game, but also pretty choose your own pace about it! seeing aerith there would be cool since there's a lot of environmental pollution/corruption stuff in the setting

overall tho there are bits of lore to uncover here and there but not a whole lot of metaplot--the game is largely focused on like character growth & relationships, if that would be interesting to you.
