So after reading Greywaren I couldn't get a specific Gen idea out of my head and maybe I should just try to write it out as a fic but anyway...
Greywaren spoilers for those that care. Post Greywaren but pre-epilogue, when Ronan is starting his whole adventures being Fae Jesus traveling across the country seeking out other Dreamers to teach them, he has a couple rough starts that don't go so great and realizes as good as things went with playing teacher to Hennessey:
1. He had Bryde guiding him. 2. They still didn't actually go so great!!
So he decides he needs practice. Specifically with someone who already has developed Bad Habits with Dreaming. A worst case scenario so he knows how to handle it in the future.
Fuck it. Now that he knows how to free Dreams from their Dreamers, he breaks his 'nothing Living and Sentient' rule. Just this once. As close to the original as he can make it, he brings back Kavinsky with the intent to teach him how to live, how to be a Dreamer instead of a Thief. And hey if he still wants to die after all that, he'll kill Kavinsky himself.
Nothing shippy, I just love the idea of the tables turned on them since their last meeting - Ronan in control of himself with knowledge beyond the Ken of man trying to be instructor and having just as much Bryde's teaching in mind as 'okay, ignore 99% of what K told you'. Also since time has passed, the difference between Ronan as a young adult vs died-a-teenager K.
