[game info]: The Pines is a brand new game that just opened at the beginning of February based on the Wayward Pines book and television series. Your character wakes up in a hospital in the small, Midwestern town of Bumfuck Wayward Pines, Idaho, with some bumps and bruises (an accident, they say) and only a handful of memories to their name. Over the following weeks they'll regain their memories, but maybe some new ones, too, that tell the story of a more or less idyllic existence right here in town. Like you've lived here your whole life. Don't talk about either of those hazy pasts, though, or the residents get twitchy and the sheriff starts a'visitin'. Gameplay strikes a balance between plot-driven and slice-of-life with the freedom for players to choose which elements to focus on for their own enjoyment. AC is check-in with rewards to come.
