mechanics for a haunted house horror game

I'm hoping to do a formal interest check in January, but I was hoping I could get input on mechanics: The idea behind the game is long days and longer nights. I set it at 1 week of daytime, 2 weeks of nighttime (realtime - so 7 and 14 days respectively,) but I was concerned that this would be too breakneck of a pace and not allow for enough downtime even with "lighter" nights so I was hoping to get some thoughts!

Would it be better to do 2 weeks of each, or two weeks of day and three weeks of night to keep the idea of longer nights? Or something else entirely? I'd like to keep the eccentric time scale, but I'm open on the specific - I'm not sure what would work best in the current climate.
