We're a fantasy game based on the Dragon Age video games. Players have the option to AU their characters into the setting, or they can arrive via a rift in the sky as their canon version. Characters are in the middle of fighting a war, and the plots center around developments in that conflict. We usually have bigger mod run plots every three months or so, and every other plot is run by players. It's really easy to decide how involved you want to be, or to dial back for downtime when you need some.

We do have info pages, but our players are always ready to give people a hand with questions about the setting. Our AC is super simple and easy (1 log comment or five network tags per month, anything beyond that can be racked up to spend on AC rewards.) It's easy to jump right in and start participating, and I know we have a lot of characters who would mesh with Katniss right away.
