No lie, I had a similar idea for this game! It's been in the infancy stages for ages (don't have time to mod and I just kind of toy with the idea in my free time), and it's less of a horror game, but the plan was to go with something a little like damned_institute from a thousand years ago, where the "day" was a week or so, and the "night" was longer so folks could deal with the spooky stuff happening within the walls.
Personally, I think one "day" week and two "night" weeks is the sweet spot. Longer than that might make the actual plot of the game move at a glacial pace, since you'll already have a situation where an in-game week takes RL months to actually pass. I know in Damned, it was sometimes hard to realistically cultivate close CR, since characters would really only have known each other for a matter of a day or two due to the slow pace of the game. To be fair, that's one of those situations where folks will just have to have some wiggle room when it comes to RP to allow for that sort of thing.
Anyway, delighted to see someone with a similar idea! Great minds think alike. :> I'll be watching for that interest check, and I hope it takes off! People around here can be sticklers for keeping to the 1:1 time format, but I think a shakeup in the formula would be really interesting, especially if it serves the rest of the game's mechanics.
