I see so many games with good premises just die or never really get off the ground. It feels like there are so few active games that really stay active consistently and are still around years or even just months later. I want to get a game going, but it's so hard to know what will really attract people to it. Horror seems to be popular. Dressing room games used to be a big thing, and I get the feeling a good amount of people still like those. Adventure, sci-fi, CR-centric ... these all seem to be topics people like.
What kinds of games do people want? One thing I was considering is an adventure/CR game based on Disney's Dreamlight Valley video game, interacting with Disney characters and helping them on missions, etc. Is that something people might like? Or a light horror/sandbox/dressing room game rolled into one?
What game types are the most popular/wanted?
