[game]:Come Sail Away [who I play]: Dimitri / FE3H (pre-timeskip) [wanted]: Thorfinn / Vinland Saga [why]: They have a lot in common: wrestling with a childhood/adolescence defined by violence and vengeance, the dissonance of a cultural upbringing that glorifies the horrors they've been part of; their guilt over those they've lost and the lives they've taken, and their efforts to rise beyond their past and live better while still defining themselves by that past; Dead Dad Trauma ... they talk about their guilt and trauma in very similar ways down to the phrasing, and they've taken part in violence on a degree/to a scale that very few people can (or want to) understand. I'm especially interested in an older Thorfinn; it would be cool for Dimitri to meet someone like him who's made it to adulthood and found a more mature perspective. [game info]: Come Sail Away is a horror game where characters are trapped on a haunted cruise ship; that said, there's plenty of room for quieter, happier slice-of-life developments in between The Horrors. Pace is medium to fast; events will sometimes pop off but most gameplay is fine for slower taggers (like myself), and backtags are welcome. The OOC community is casual and friendly; everyone's super supportive, and I've had a great time there as a novice player.
